But... allah has body parts? Allah has a foot? Allah has a chin? Allah has two right hands? Allah has at least two eyes? And islamic scholars confirm that, so you believe in a man-god?

@@muslimsrememberapostacyday556 these are figurative speech for humans to get an idea ... At the same time it is said and we believe " there is nothing like Him (the God)" Nobody has seen God and never will in this World. God is god, -The creator of everthing in Heavens and Earth. Man is man- an intelligent Creation of the God with, articulation of speech and a free will unlike any other creations of the God. In essense, The creator and the creation is separate from each other when it comes to the God.So we do not believe in a man-god. I like ur DP name...all the best👍

@@mammutty1 My problem is for example that allah decenbts to the lowest heaven to hear muslims prayers. That doesn't make sense, if he has no body part (ears) but it also does not make sense, if he is all powerful, what should he decent at all for then.

@@mammutty1 On the other hand... muhammad said that allah will come to you in a shape other than the one you know. What is the shape you already know? I can only think of muhammad. You know muhammad, he is the closest to allah. But IS he also allah? How can the quran claim to be easy to understand, when still 1400 years later learned muslim scholars fight over how to interprete what it says? My thesis is, that muhammad literally wanted to kill christianity and take the position of jesus. And he had good help from khadeja. It is the reason why he claimed that jesus did not die on the cross. If jesus didn't die, then christianity is nothing. I think khadeja knew that and I think she has more to do with quran than people know. Each time I read something new about islam, it seems to cofirm that.

🚫WARNING🚫 *Hamza Yusuf is MISGUIDING from the path of Allah (swt)!! He OPPOSES the Prophet (saw) and Companions. He OPPOSES the correct understanding of Islam (which is the Salaf's understanding). Beware of this man!! The correct understanding of Islam is the Companions/Salaf's understanding:* Allah’s Messenger (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) said: *“My ummah will divide into 73 sects, all of them will be in the Fire except for one, and that is the Jamā’ah.” It was said, “And who are they, O Allah’s Messenger?” He (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) responded, “That which I and my Companions are upon today.”* The Prophet sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: *“The best of mankind is my generation, then those that come after them, then those that come after them.”* The 3 generations mentioned in this Hadith are the first 3 generations of this Ummah and they are called the *Salaf.* A Salafi is one that follows the Salaf. Salafiyyah is not a sect amongst the sects, it is the true, *original authentic* understanding of Islam that the *earliest Muslims* were upon. Stick to the Salafi Scholars (e.g. Ibn Uthaymeen etc) for correct Dawah. *English speakers - go to this website* : abdurrahman.org . It has plenty of resources from the real scholars, translated. BE WARNED AGAINST HAMZA YUSUF 📣 Note: Be aware that there most likely will be people replying to my comment, arguing and trying to mislead everyone. The truth is the truth no matter what these people say. Ignore them and *just stick to the textual evidences like the hadith I shared.* The true understanding of Islam is from the Prophet (saw) and his Companions! *BE WARNED AGAINST HAMZA YUSUF* 📣

SubhanAllah, re the makeup story: I'm a revert. I was with my friend Zainab in the women's wudhu area in a masjid. A young women came in with her young children, she was wearing a hijab that glittered. An older woman shouted and scolded her saying, "that's not Islam" pointing at her hijab. All this in front of her children. Zainab and I were so shocked! After the older lady left, Zainab tried to console the younger woman. It was heart breaking.

Surah Bakara verse 26 Surah al Imran verse 7 It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muḥammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific.1 As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah. But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding.

If I may be so rude, to know all things would make you God. I think there are levels of wisdom. It's about seeing the rationale for your actions. If you know why you do certain things, like establishing your daily prayers you're likely to do it better than most. It's what we call insight. Wisdom is not understanding why but seeing the benefits why. It's like you don't know why God makes you pray five times a day. You will never know why. But you can definitely understand or agree why you should be praying five times a day, at the right times of the day at that. Again you may not know exactly why you have to wake up so early in the morning for the dawn prayers. But you can see the immediate benefits, like starting the day ahead of the rest. It also synchronizes your biological clock and hence stave off depression or insomnia. I think wisdom is the ability to think clearly for oneself. And not just following what others do or are doing. In this regard the Quran states in many places that God loves the peron who thinks, who can reason.

There are 3 subjective wisdoms recorded in the Noble Qur'an that you should learn from and 1objective wisom you should learn from.... 1 regular Islamic wisdom. That is, you get to know the diseases of the heart that Allah indirectly lists in the Noble Quran. These diseases are envy, jealousy, greed, avarice, pride, hatred and evil. If you do not act from a heart with one or more of these diseases, then you act from a heart filled with love. Then you know how to act and think according to the right standards and values towards your fellow man, as Allah wills. You also know how to deal with the favors of Allah which He gives and has given to man. 2: Islamic psychological wisdom. That means you know how to deal with corrupt people. You should not fight hate with hate or evil, but with love, after all Allah is love and you cannot break or kill Him. If you are hurt or if you are wronged you know how to remain silent or you know how to give a person a wise message about how life should be. You automatically know how to control your anger and you are the forgiver of people....If you know how to practice both wisdoms then you practice the meaning of pure love/the Light of the Noble Qur'an in prosperity and in adversity. Your inner deeds are then equal to your outer deeds. You then belong to the Muttaqun / The sincere servants of Allah with a pure heart. 3 Islamic spiritual wisdom: that means you can explain and practice the Deep understanding of the Noble Qur'an. That is because you are able to unravel the way of thinking and acting that the Shaitan whispers in the hearts of the people. That is, you can confront a person with the Shaitan in him with his way of thinking and acting in the reversed world as how Allah wills and how the Muttaqun thinks and acts. "Everything that is right is wrong and everything that is wrong is right. Love is hate and hate is love." As a result of that when that happened my twin brother and I make no statements, for Allah alone is the Knower of the unseen. It is true that we are now convinced of the unobservable. If you practice these 3 wisdoms, then subjective messages / The Light / The Inner core of the Noble Qur'an are written in your heart. You can easily explain this. As the blessing of Allah we may look in the Light of Allah in the worldly life. And that's seeing the sun in a clear sky. This means that we see through the sun's rays. That that is a great blessing from Allah is confirmed by Mohamed peace be upon him in a hadith.....If you can see the sun in a clear sky then you are in connection with Allah. You feel His Love and His Merci........ If everybody act and think according these wisdoms of the Noble Qu'ran then there is no division, no hunger, no wars, but world peace. SubhanAllah wa bihamdi ❤❤❤. The objective wisdom is how should worship and obeying Allah. If you learnt from the objective messages then choose the Hereafter above this Dunya. Then you are acting wisely.....

I find the claims about Prophet Muhammad's alleged prophecy of Iblis's followers ? drones plain odd. He could not have been privy to 'extra-spiritual' information because that would defeat the purpose of Allah's expectation of your average human being able to rely on Allah's SUNNAH directly and independently. The 'hikmah' is derived from reflecting on the Qur'an and/or its principles which have been revealed from the time of the community of Adam. Prophet Muhammad(s.a.w.) had already developed and matured his character by his own efforts, such that it was befitting for him to receive the mantle of being messenger of Allah(S.W.T). His general trustworthiness was common knowledge amongst the people of his home city and dependable given his role as a trader and thus being in a position where his reliability and honesty would be constantly tested. It is not as if Allah(S.W.T) directly intervened and placed good qualities in him so the hadith in which angels opened his chest and took out a black mass is ridiculous. If true, it would nullify the entire process of jihad that Allah(SWT) clearly and unequivocally expects of muslims as stated in the Qur'an. Is not enough that we are informed that he was a widely-known trader and that there is no record of him (not even by his detractors and enemies) of any dodgy dealings/contracts of sales? Rather than, unsubstantiated and unverifiable narrations about what he actually said, which needs a very high level of proof for anyone-let alone a Prophet. I do find it irresponsible that people should say Prophet Muhammad(s.a.w) 'said or would say' WHEN IN FACT WE DON'T ACTUALLY KNOW THE TRUTH. If people started prefacing claims with a factual disclaimer e.g. according to Bukhari/Tirmidhi etc who was not known to/authorized by the Prophet and made the claim some 250 years after Prophet Muhammad's death that would encourage people to think that much more clearly and more warily.

The 'sunnah' of Prophet Muhammad(saw) was putting the Qur'an into action. The Qur'an makes NO MENTION WHATSOEVER of the 'sunnah of Prophet Muhammad(saw). It primarily refers to the 'sunnah of ALLAH'!! The hikmah-wisdom would be to take into account the proven body of facts in existence and make judgement according to the Qur'an. To rely on the hadith collections as the de facto words/action of the Prophet Muhammmad(saw) when there was no evident duty placed on him to record these (with reliable witnesses) for the benefit of posterity is to ignore that very hikamah.

Allah سبحانه وتعالى said in the Quran, Holy Quran 3:31 ------------------ قُلْ إِن كُنتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ Say, [O Muhammad], "If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." Sunnas of ALlah means the laws that govern the universe, for example, if you stand in the rain, you’ll get wet. If you plant a seed, it will grow given the right condition. Etc. The sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم are his teachings throughout his prophethood aimed at us Muslims. It is really sad that such a great scholar like Hamza Yusuf is unjust saying: "Surprisingly, our (islamic) scholars gave soo much to the Western tradition, it's really quit outstanding and it's sad that they don't know how much our tradition has given them." By the way, he talks about the great Greeks, who were incredibly wise even without the Koran. He also addresses it, but still he does not say: "We (Muslims) owe so much to the Greeks or to other cultures such as the Indian." It was Muslim intellectuals in the Middle Ages who profited to an unbelievable extent from earlier ancient cultures. So z. B. the "Islamic" philosopher Ibn Rush, who praised, even glorified his teacher Aristotle, more even than the prophet himself. It is sad to see that Muslims think that Islamic civilization in the Middle Ages came from nowhere and only from the Koran as Mr. YUSUF means: "But these all are came from the Qoran, from the wisdom of the Quran." Nothing can come out of nowhere. Muslim civilization is based on ancient knowledge. Muslims should admit that, even if it is difficult for them. Unfortunately, I often come across this, and so far I have not met any Islamic scholar who can admit that Islamic civilization in the Middle Ages was based on the knowledge of antiquity. On the one hand, this is due to the ignorance of Muslim scholars to deal with the pre-Islamic period and, on the other hand, with the ego. It is a pity that even scholars like YUSUF obviously have a difficult to deal with ego problem and are blind. And we know for sure what came to Europe through the Arabs. But we also know where Arabs got their influences and inspiration from. For reasons of justice it is not appropriate not to mention the Greeks, Indians, Persians, Mesopotamians, who demonstrably possessed the greatest knowledge of all time, of history of mankind, even higher than today's western Christian world. Anyone who deals with antiquity knows what I am talking about. Instead, Yusuf even claims that the numbers are Arabic numbers even though they are Indian. Even here does the influence of ancient knowledge on the Muslime Civilisation begins: be it that of the Greeks, Indians, Persians, Chinese. And he also claims: "The entire islamic civilization (in the Middle Ages) is predicated on the book and the hikmah (wisdom), on the Qoran and on the hikmah." Self-praise is dangerous, especially when even a scholar like Yusuf is talking about something he doesn't know. There would be no Ibn Rushd without the Greek Aristotle, Aristotle was his teacher, says Ibn Rushd himself. The same with al-Khwarizmi, who showed critical tendencies towards Islam. So how can Yusuf claim that without the Koran there would be no such intellectuals? How is such a statement possible from a person who obviously goes deeper into thinking? That would be the same, when we would say: "Without the Bible, there would not be a Christian respecitvaly Western civilization." Yes, there are indeed influences from the New Testament to the period of Enlightenment in Europe, but a small influence. That, my dear people, is the danger of subjectivity. When someone is attached to something, such as e.g. a mindset, then it is just difficult not to praise what is one's own and to admit that one's own would not exist without the foreign (pre-Islamic polytheistic civilizations). Because if all this, all the Islamic civilization in the Middle Ages came from the Koran, why is there no highly developed civilization in the Islamic world today? Even though they do have the Koran and even though there are few souls in the islamic world who has been granted with wisdom? That makes you think. And it hurts me to see that even scholars have serious problems with their ego. Greetings from Germany. Nobody should resent my comment. Someone who does it has ego problems too. It is about justice and it will be queried on Judgment Day in this matter too.

You don’t know his work then. He has made many of the same points in talks and writing. Read his Athena and Madina for instance. He made all those points. As for the numbers, the Arabic numerals are what we use in the West from North Africa and Andalusia or Muslim Spain. The Indian numbers are used in Eastern Arabia and not in the West. You seem very sure of yourself, but it’s good to allow you could be wrong sometimes.

We need sheikhs or scholars because these people have studied the original arabic scriptures of Quran and Hadeeth. While we common people only know the translations. For verses like, Qul Huwallahu Ahad (Say, He is Allah, who is One). You dont need a scholar for this unless you wanna know deeper about the verse. Like what does Ahad means besides "One" or Where does the word "Allah" comes from, etc But what if it's a verse like in Surah At-Taubah, "...Kill the disbelievers wherever you find them..." (9:5) Some people would need to refer to scholars so as not to take this verse out of the original context. Wallahu A'lam Allah Knows best

From a man who doesn't know that Allaah (a.w.j.) can Speak Arabic, recite His Book the Qur'aan, and in reality Spoke to the angels before creating Aadam (a.s.), and in reality Spoke to Moosaa (a.s.) and many other Prophets (a.s.) and even individuals among their followers. If He (a.w.j.) were to Speak to any of this ummah, it would have been to Umar ibn al Khattaab (r.a.).

@Peter Müller A comment on the irony of the title. To not know even the absolute basics of who their Lord is and yet give a talk on the necessity of knowledge to be wise...If you are confused as to the specific reference in my comment, it is not to be wondered at, as Hamza Yusuf has a methodology and a following that is built on his concealing his true beliefs from the masses who listen to him and read his publications. Search Dr Umar Abdullah - Issue of Quran Being Created to hear his actual beliefs as taught in private to the next generation of "scholars," then compare with the transcript from the trial of Imaam Ahmad bin Hanbal. For an in depth study, you can download my books from Aqeedah Publications for free (Identifying Islaam's Saved Sect, Aqeedah at-Tahaawiyyah in English). You can also e-mail me from the website if you would like to discuss anything further. Kind Regards, Sulaiman.

@Peter Müller Hi, Peter. I sense a hint of the pejorative in your question, but if I'm mistaken, then please accept my apologies. In either case, your question is based on a false premise - that Allaah (a.w.j.) can or cannot Speak Arabic depending on where, for how long and with whom one of His Creation did or didn't study. All sects of Islaam have seminaries, scholars, claims of a sanad etc. - the Shee'ah in all their manifestations, the sunnees in all of theirs, and even those outside Islaam such as the Qaadiyaanees and Nation of Islaam. None of them dictate who Allaah (a.w.j.) is. He is as He is and always has been, with or without Creation. The question is whether a person can know such basic things as whether Allaah (a.w.j.) can Speak Arabic, See and Hear things in reality at the time of their occurrence, become more and less Pleased or Angry at people's actions etc. without having studied formally as part of a sanad, and if not, then how can the true scholars of Islaam be identified by any individual before learning from them formally or informally. A Ph.D. from Madeenah University is irrelevant if the scholars who have taught and assessed the individual have incorrect beliefs; as is learning one's beliefs from their publications and lectures. Hence the title of my publication. Regards, Sulaiman.
