Very helpful information, I have been bidding commercial excavation for 30 years. Understanding what your costs is very important, all companies are different.

Was that a base gravel that you used for that job? What is that gravel called? New guy here.
@gunnerranch13 күн бұрын
Each plant has thier own rock. But yes it's called rock base. Then there is base rock class 2 that is inspected if you aren't being inspected just use the base rock.
@ryanhansen831219 күн бұрын
You mention using a base layer. Exactly what size rock did you use there??? I would think a base layer of 2" or better would be needed. All I saw was gravel.
@gunnerranch19 күн бұрын
I used base rock. Sub Base. 3/8 mixed with 3/4 80% dg at a 2" thickness

In Ohio here, seems like most guys are charging $120 hr. 4 hour minimum I just expanded my landscaping company into skid steer work, bought my first skid steer last month. I think these guys are under selling some of the business. I think I’m going to bid for total jobs, the hard part is how much time to install a yard depends on soil so some could be 8 hours some 14 hours… so there is a huge difference in time… thanks for any tips or advice

That was terrible spreading on the drivers part… made me cringe, I require all my transport drivers to spread thin, thin to win just like playing blackjack

Cant someone make a freaking work video without freaking music... when will you guys learn
@gunnerranch13 күн бұрын
Well brotha. If you knew about recording you would understand when you record in warp mode or time lapse there is zero sound! So would you rather hear nothing or do you want me to sing to you. If you don't have music the view typically gets bored on long work videos. I have video with almost no music. Your welcome for schooling you.
