Most people aren't 0 cycling MoC, so as an important breakpoint in order to 3 star it using 5 cycles on EACH side, any character with 146 speed will be able to get 8 turns in the first 5 cycles without any speed enhancements, making it a very good breakpoint for anyone that can't hit 160 speed. 134 speed is basically ONLY for 0 cycling MoC, but it also gives you 7 turns within 4 cycles. If you want 7 turns in 5 cycles, you can get 128 (or 129 to be safe incase of rounding) speed and it's good enough. There is so much over exaggeration about speed it's insane. As long as you clear both sides within 10 cycles, you won MoC. Generally going 1 or 2 speed higher than these breakpoints is also good for consistency.

Thank you so much for clarifying this. There's so many people that always try to advocate 160 speed supports, but in reality it's not possible for everyone, and even if so, it's more than likely they wouldn't be able to 1-cycle anyways. Honestly just hit 134 and you're good, if you can get it higher that's great, but don't force yourself to get those breakpoints.

160 is very obtainable on atleast one of your supports for sure. It's not very hard to get. There is alot of people out here throwing away speed relics and wasting resources on building different units without filly committing to building their current ones fully. It causes alot of problems. For those of us who have experience with gacha games we have well built characters entirely f2p. It just takes time and dedication. If you can't reach 160 before buffs just remember outside buffs from sets help aswell.

@@Helperishere i got 161 on my tingyun only, but if remember correctly the orb and rope arent from her suggested set ig and i got musketeer on her since i havent played for months. not everyone got all the time in the world, if u say it takes time sure. the rng is complete garbage, even worse than in genshin, so much worse. in genshin i get nice crit pieces often, in honkai i cant get one single speed boots for a set, let alone spd stats lol. i always get shit on the useless sets. in rng u never win, its always p2p.

How is it not possible for everyone? I don’t do refreshes ever and just farmed hacker domain until I got the 160 speed. Crit damage would be only 180 if I didn’t have her LC but it would still be fine even if it was lower. This isn’t some impossible build reserved only for whales who max refresh ever single day. Literally everyone can achieve 160 speed sparkle but for some reason people think just one week of farming is going to be enough when that ain’t how it works. There’s no real excuse to not be able to hit the 160 threshold outside of impatience.

Usually, people don't have speed boots err, and the speed breakpoints to them aren't as important because they slap on 134 speed, calling people impatient for not caring about 134 speed on a support unit is honestly hilarious cause the only people who will care is people that care too much. Anyone who has been playing for a few months and has been managing their relics well will be able at least get 1 unit to 160 SPD. I really don't understand why people keep saying 160 SPD is "not possible for everyone". Just use rainbow pieces + 2 piece hackerspace. 160 SPD is basically just the most beneficial (while still being achievable) breakpoint for both MOC and PF. It's more than likely you wouldn't be able to 0 cycle the first wave anyway. With that kind of backward logic, is 134 SPD also an unnecessary breakpoint? 134 is not "good", it's the bare minimum (6 from 2 piece Hackerspace + 25 from boots is already a 132 SPD Sparkle).

my rule is usually having every dps at least >= 135 and bronya/sparkle at 134 so I can use them with everyone. To accomplish that, I gave them underlevelled speed boots, based on how much speed substats the other pieces have

Pretty sure getting your Bronya/Sparkle to hyper speed so none of your dps have to wear speed boots at all is far more universal and less annoying in the long run. Completely removes speed boots from the equation and simplifies things.

@@mika086you missed his point. If you run fast supports you will just permanently use no speed atk/hp boots on your dps. And now you no longer have to worry about speed subs at all. You can simply run sparkle one side and Bronya on the other Give you an example I have my jl and Bronya setup. I am running less crit subs because i need speed subs on jl.

@@michaelyang838 Actually, I think you missed his point. You do realise there are a ton of different supports? Hanya, Ting Yun, Ruan Mei, Asta, Pela, Silver Wolf. Literally the only way it is "simpler" to just run no-speed on all DPS is if you always have Bronya one side and Sparkle on the other, no other support (except maybe Asta) can work with that, and of course you can't ever choose to run both on the same side for Super hyper carry, because then the other side won't have one. 134 is by far more universal, since you really can run them with any DPS AND any support combination. You can even run a super slow DPS with the 134 Bronya/Sparkle if you feel like it (my QQ is my only slow character at 98 speed) and don't have/can't be bothered to run fast versions, its not actually all that bad if you aren't going for fast 1-2 cycle clears. Also, a hidden cost is limiting Planar Ornament sets. Good DPS sets like Glamoth need significant speed, and a couple of others need at least 121, so you'd have to no longer be using those sets.

Took me hours of relic shuffling but I somehow managed to find a 161 SPD, 165 CRIT DMG Sparkle set with a proper Broken Keel planar set and a 160 SPD, 182 CRIT DMG Bronya set with a proper Fleet of the Ageless planar set. Ready for some 1 cycle Jingliu clears. I already had her just barely manage to beat up Gepard in 1 cycle in current MoC 12 while testing it and he resists Ice.

Glad you posted this. I got Sparkle for my JY, Ratio, and DHIL. Everywhere I was seeing I need her to have 160 speed. In my mind that seemed kinda hard to do, since speed on relics is so rng. But I started giving her more speed and quickly found it to be a hindrance. My Tingyun only has 155 speed and i want her to buff my DPS before Sparkle pulls my DPS up. So i quickly decided 160 speed Sparkle didn't really work for me. Have her at 154 just under Tingyun. That way Ting can buff, then Sparkle can buff and pull DPS up the action order.

Turns you want to take * 10000 Take that and subtract it by (10000*advance forward%) in your case it’s 1800. Then divide it by the cycle AV you want to take those turns in. 3 turns 1st cycle s2 DDD 28200 / 150 = 188 SPD for this specific breakpoint :) Fast is fine, and fast can use dance without going deagle speeds

Lets not forget that outside of Ruan Mei and Bronya, every other support wants to be faster than Sparkle, so a 160 Sparkle locks you out of other team comps unless you get the rest of your supports up there as well. Its a waste to pull up your dps before the others can get their buffs/debuffs out.

An amazing QoL change for a future patch would be if it was possible to manually override the speed of any unit to any value equal or below the relic speed (basically if you have 150 speed you get a slider and can set 134 speed for example if you want but not 151). This would also make high speed more attractive and universal There is just no way in hell I am entering the micromanagement hellhole that is speed tuning for teams

The main reason I got my Sparkle to 160+ speed was that my light cone options were only Bronya's LC which I obviously wanted on Bronya or the F2P Yukong LC S5 and both don't work well with the slow Sparkle setup. I felt like that was worth dropping about 25% of her CDMG so she can give 32% DMG and only lose like 9% in given CDMG and allow the DPS to run ATK% boots.

And this set can still improve coz my SPD Boots did not roll Crit damage. I am trying to get a SPD boots with crit damage and hopefully roll right this time so wish me luck! My plan is: 134 SPD for dmg dealers 144 SPD for supporters 156 SPD for buffers ...I'm at 155 SPD with Bronya, 4-Wind and random planar set pieces with good SPD rolls... if only her base speed was a little higher... I just can't go risking not getting Acheron just to satisfy my urge to build a 156 SPD buffer by pulling for Sparkle on 50-50... especially now that I got pretty decent pieces for Acheron as well...

So, once I got Sparkle, I threw her with DHIL against Something Unto Death in MoC 12. She was barely built, with most of her relics in the 3 to 9 range, and only her body piece and boots at level 15. I think she had 148 SPD. I was able to comfortably clear SUD, consistently and repeatedly. Yesterday, I finally finished her build, at least for right now. 164 SPD, 200% Crit Dmg, a decent amount of defensive stats. And somehow things got worse. SUD almost always managed to get his melee power-up and 2-shot someone other than Huo Huo. Now, on almost every single run, I have to just get lucky and have it target Huo Huo with the follow-up to the AoE attack. One time I got him to phase 2, and he completely skipped the target selection and instantly imprisoned DHIL and Huo Huo after the phase change. So that run was a bust. I've double- and triple-checked all my builds and no one has less HP or DEF, DHIL isn't missing his ATK or Crit stats, the supports aren't missing ERR ropes, or anything. I'm just weirdly doing worse despite improving Sparkle's build. Any smart people with a potential explanation?

dude, getting the wrong character got imprisoned by SUD is legitimately skill issue. it has pattern. on the first phase, once he initiate it's claws. the third character who act after that is going to get imprisoned. and for the second phase, the 2 character who act or use their ultimate early will get imprisoned. it is not based on luck, you have to speed tune everyone so the target is not your dps in the first phase, and dont ult with your dps too early on the second phase.

@@aryosheva8204 Do you not know what the word 'instantly' means? I'm well aware of how SUD decides to imprison in both phases, and how to control it. As I said in my original comment, the phase changed and it INSTANTLY imprisoned. As in: its health went to 0%, refilled to 100%, and then captured DHIL and Huo Huo before I could do anything. No refilled Ults, no marking based on who took an action, nothing. Something bugged out. It's never happened before, and it hasn't happened since. That wasn't even the main thrust of my original comment, just a weird thing that happened and I wanted to bring up. The 'luck' I mentioned had to do with who it targeted after it gives itself a 100% DMG bonus and on its next turn does the AoE attack, followed by the single-target stab. I rarely had to deal with it before, and even when I did, I have no memory of it taking a character from full health to dead in a single turn. To the red, certainly, but not a one-two punch KO. Somehow, I am either doing less toughness damage or less actual damage than I was before, despite DHIL getting both more turns and more Crit Dmg from my completed Sparkle. Why don't you try again? This time with a little more civility, and a little less eagerness to accuse someone of 'Skill Issue'. I'm not going to pretend that I'm some sort of Star Rail genius, but I'm more than capable of reading and learning.

i have like 145 speed on my sparkle i put more emphasis on her crit dmg (she has 202 cd) so she'd be slower than my tingyun and fu xuan bc i use dhil and need them to build up skill points for him i find the team to be pretty efficient this way bc sparkle is still fast enough to advance dhil 100% most of the time and have enough skill points on most turns

thabk you guoba. spd always feels like something too complicated and too hard to minmax on especially considering that relics are random. that said, i have a question. i like to switch teams from time to time so i dont want to keep changing my sparkle build. is 134spd + tingyun with ddd enough to give jing yuan 2 turns per LL? thank you again for helping dummies like me

Getting her to the *exact* speed breakpoint might be a poor idea, since she only action advances by 50% so the dps would still only act on next cycle.

My dps relics have been very awkward in the sense that they tend to roll a lot of speed substats. My xueyi and jingliu in particular happen to hit exactly 145 speed naturally, so gearing sparkle has been difficult for me, and the 134/160 speed recommendation has not been useful for me. But looking at the 5:28 chart it seems like I can go with a "slow" sparkle build at around 143 speed to hit the 2 cycle speed breakpoint, so that's very helpful. My damage isn't quite sufficient enough for a 0 or 1 cycle clear anyways so it all works out. It does get a little scuffed when I use sparkle with my one actual min speed dps with lunae but uhhhhhhhh good enough.

not my friend playing 138 spd with e2 dan hil + tingyun e6 he is using the messanger set for sparkle and the weird thing is that in gold and gears his tingyun smh gets more chance (note not using spd boots)

My jingliu gets damn near 100% turn advance. Only issue is Im cursed with weird relics so shes 150 spd/2000 atk/33cr/228%cd. Still building her but bs/sparkle is my priority right now.

Hey guys I need a quick tip for dummies about how to play Sparkle with Seele. I watched a couple of videos but when I'm testing it myself it just feels very bad and Seele is almost everytime acts right after Sparkle so Sparkle's action advance is pointless. I tried 161 speed Sparkle and 136 (without speed boots) speed Sparkle. My Seele has 115 base speed (before self-buff) with no speed substats whatsoever.

he said that you can go with 142.9 speed for Seele, which is enough speed to be right behind her after she gets her speed buff without speed boots just look at the summary in 6:46
