Our rent went up 39 percent this year and just got a renovations eviction notice yesterday on the 9th should have been on the 1st, Alberta has not limit on rent increases so always make sure that you are aware that anything can change in a second, we lived in this house for 14 years now and we're so scared we can't find anything to rent and we're so scared and stressed out, I can't believe the greed of this owner and his actions have been terrible non stop renovations since he moved in, everyday is h3ll here and we're scared when we maybe able to put any roof over our heads and any food on the table, this is not the Canada I grew up in, it's all about greed now no longer about community or becoming one. I pray we find something so us and our family won't be homeless, I never thought this could ever happen so fast all because of others greed is so painful.

Bills in this Canada ehn 😢 e choke. Everything that has increased is just annoying me. We too our rent increased by $200 and I’m so pissed but what can we do. We will survive by Gods grace

About your friend downstairs who had a higher increase, I guess cause they are downstairs😅 you know a lot of times, people feel like downstairs apartments have more advantage including easy access and all. It’s all over the world. Even in nigeria, in some places of you want to rent shop, downstairs and upstairs shops have different prices 😅 I guess that’s why. Welldone dear.
