I have almost 200 hours in flight with the avata 2 and it really is so incredible for a drone. The stop button can stop it from a mid air tumble, the GPS is extremely accurate in case you lose it, its truly a beginners drone. Though, I do recommend at some point upgrading to the manual FPV controller, and practice with manual mode. While the normal and sport mode are great for flying with crutches, the drone can really do so much more in manual.

broo, i bought the mini 3 thinking i could do this but after buying many drones i got the avata 2 coming in 1 day and theres no way im gunna use a motion controller first time when i try it. its gunne be the fpv controller for sure hahahah

@AlD0-Ls I thought that too. The motion controller is super fun as well though. I thought I'd hate it,as a traditional rc flight guy. But it is accurate and fun as anything. Definitely try it.

I woke up this morning and if i’m honest, in a bad mood, hardly any sleep and with a tough day ahead; my first video of the day and suddenly i’m chuckling, thanks man! That’s a care and refresh at till for me then. You did pretty good though, I’m impressed, guess this is part and parcel of life as a fpv pilot. It’ll keep you fit though. Thanks, DJI will love this video, you showed the drones durability.

My first FPV as well. It was cool to see your journey! There is definitely a quick move from beginner to flying around fast and I think the "getting too cocky" thing is a shared experience for new folks. I know it was for me. As far as dives and recovery, Ive found the little 4-way thumb controller helps with adding Y-axis lift and dive, adding an "up" or a "down" with the thumb controller to add to the lift or the dive. Pull back on the motion controls AND push up on that thumb controller = faster upwards lift. Extra help with this is to go into the Motion Controller settings and crank up the speeds of the 4-way thumb controller all the way. Makes them more powerful for this kind of thing. Also, they programmed the turns and stuff to be slower and longer while in sport mode. Its dependent on the velocity of the drone. The faster you go, the slower your drone will bank. I can see why they did that but its worth knowing. You get used to how tight it banks in Normal but then you try that in Sport and it cant do it as tightly. I wish we could flip which direction is "up" and "down" on the 4-way thumb controller so it would work similar to the motion controls (pull back on motion controller is up, so pulling "down" on the 4-way thumb controller should be up as well, just like a flight video game).

To get some of those dive looking shots if you turn on head tracking. And do both at the same time it can do it to a point. Tilt your head up points the gimbal up as you are flying. And vice versa, tilting down and trying to do a Dive. couldn’t agree more with the refresh I recommended to everyone who has any DJI products

Basic motion practice 6-10 times before moving on outdoor stuff. Many real estate surveyors use this because of the blade guarded feature! That’s where I started and before even going outside, 10-12 flights inside is a great way to start. Plus yu don’t have to worry about having an observer. I got it to FIRST use with my Mini 4 Pro’s new FPV option. Outside you are required to have one. Enjoy.

I bought a "cheaper" Aquila 16 to fly indoors and see if I liked it So much fun to fly through the then out an upstairs window. Go tour the then fly back inside. Upgrading modes makes the response sharper. You can set the camera angle. FOV is a little narrow but you get good sense of distance to objects.

Great video guys. I've been watching a ton of Avata 2 content, and I'm about to get one in a couple weeks. One thing you've probably learned by now, the drone is much more nimble with the dual stick controller. Especially in full manual mode - but there's a big learning curve. I've had my 107 for almost 2 years and still haven't bought my own drone LOL.

Wish they made the Avata with removable prop guards. Seems like a unibody design. If there were removable prop guards then you'd just have to replace the one that's broken. no need to trim off compromised part, which might later on affect structural integrity of the drone. Besides these are so expensive. FPV inevitably crash due to the nature of their flight, as opposed to regular mavics. DJI should build them like tanks.
@brandon96896 ай бұрын
You have to get DJI care with one of these $50 bucks a replacement as long as you recover the drone. It still sucks that its unibody though. Many repairs on regular FPV drones cost way less than $50 if you learn how to do the work.
@maxsantiago83096 ай бұрын
@@brandon9689 Yes this is great but DJI Care Refresh isnt available to a lot of people. Why? because DJI Refresh is available only in few countries. Here in the Philippines, There are official DJI stores in malls and online as well, but unfortunately, no DJI Care Refresh is offered. This really disappointing because we are purchasing the same product. What is the logical reason why they can't offer these to other countries with official DJI outlets? DJI Care Refresh is only available to customers in the U.S., Canada, EU countries, the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and Mainland China.
@spiff-FPV6 ай бұрын
I have just discovered that this is unibody construction. What the hell do you do when you have an impact or a crease?? I get that DJI wants to get paid on top of getting paid but damn, that's extortion. 59/ 99 dollars plus 50 + weeks of weight time for only 4 replacements over 2 years for a drone that can do between 35 and 60 mph?!
@CAMTechChris6 ай бұрын
@@spiff-FPVnot true on the waiting part. I’ve used DJI CR on 4 occasions with different drones. You get your replacement in about 2 days after you file the claim on the DJI website. You send them the broken one after you get your new one.
@maxsantiago83096 ай бұрын
DJI Care Refresh is a good option for the countries where it is available. But the problem is that not every country has DJI Care Refresh offered by DJI. Just a few countries can avail of DJI CR/. From where I am from (Philippines) there are OFFICIAL DJI stores but no Care Refresh Available. If DJI made the Avata 2 more user-repairable, if they offered replaceable prop guards, it would be more convenient but I guess there's less profit from these.
