How Much Weight Can a Fly Actually Lift? Experiment-I Lassoed a Fly!

In this video I catch a fly and tie a string to it in order to measure how much weight it can lift! First I slow down their metabolism by cooling them down then I tie a string around it and attach duct tape weights to it in order to see how much it can lift! I was surprised how much it could lift!

@Anthony Braund I personally try to let them out, whichever is least hassle. But I really don't understand how people can call it animal abuse. 1. It's not an animal, it's an insect 2. Some have parasitic larvae 3. They're sneaky bastards who wait for you to open the door and will sit on corners where you can't swat them. 4. They have a life span of less than a month, this means their species will never go endangered and they're quick to evolve and adapt. There's no harm in killing one, it's simply part of their life.

A friend of mine and his friends, when they were about 10 years old, lassoed a few flies with 3-4 cm of threads and released them in the classroom just to annoy the teacher. He says nobody was listening to the lecture, they all watched the flies with smiles on their faces :) I don't think they chilled the flies or untied them later!
