Awesome video. I am small KZbinr, and I think that for small channels the most important thing is to get good presence from the beginning. If you are not popular, people won't care even if you have the best videos and the best content on platform. I am not beginner anymore, but I know how hard it can be (and honestly if I didn't use a lot of Fame- ster, I would have quit a long time ago. It made everything much easier for me, especially getting to 1000 subs and view hours).

The requirement to become monetize is one reason why creators get bumped attempting to reach the goal. I believe that is why KZbin created the 500 sub program. It took me a bit of time to get monetized. I started getting serious about 2022. I was not monetized until 2023. My channel has improved when I started putting more focus on KZbin and less on my IG.

Kaya! I'm only 10 seconds into this video so I have no idea of the contents yet... but I just want to say how amazing I think your channel and its topics are. I am a full-time influencer myself (having recently gained over 100k followers on instagram).. but it has been a HARD journey to get here. I was making little to no money last year and I wouldn't have been able to survive if my parents weren't so supportive. I'm working on branching out to KZbin doing similar content to yours because as you say, transparency in the influencer space is super hard to come by. All this rambling does have a question attached to it haha... do you ever worry that creating this kind of content (talking mainly about your other videos e.g. 'saying no as an influencer') will 'turn off' brands from wanting to work with you? - I know logically that the answer is no, and of course as long as the content is respectful and informative there is no issue. But I'd just love to hear your take on this if you have one! Thank you!

Oooh thank you for the kind words, and such a great question!! it has worried me, but it’s so funny, a lot of people at the brands I work with follow my content here and bring it up often in a complimentary way. I think it was important though for this to still be a separate brand-like a different account and name from where I do most of my deals as to not mix up and dilute my audience-and I think it’s important that in the transparency I am always respectful and also I try to still acknowledge the brand’s side as I educate, I emphasize that this is a partnership with them, we shouldn’t be trying to exploit them just because we think our worth is one thing-so I think that nuance helps maintain that respect. I mean statistically it has provably turned off SOME brands out there, but then it wasn’t aligned. Also congrats for breaking 100k that is AMAZING! And looking forward to seeing what you do next.

My advice, if you are new and not yet monetized, you can get a lot of hours making music videos, too. Millions of people listen to and watch music on KZbin. Yes, copyrighted music. It doesn't matter anyway. You are not monetized yet. Just gather all those hours.

I have another channel and once monetized my first 30 days I made $6,730.25, I got 1.4 million views. This was May 2020. 100% not normal & yes, I could totally live off of that and one of my highest income months (just Adsense) I made close to $10,000 … wild times
