Tip for anyone starting who is serious about KZbin, what she said about preparing videos consistently being hard is real! I made another channel about bra fittings and pre-filmed all the videos for the first month before publishing anything. On launch week, I publish 6 videos, then just one a week. I got monetized within 5 months of starting the channel. It didn't make a lot of money, but I got a sponsorship and PR samples. Preparing for the first month gave me time to prepare 4 videos for the following month with ease. All the topics were niche specific and due to planning, all my outros teased to the next video and they were in a sequence so that people would binge my channel. If your content is executed correctly, stay consistent, you will see success eventually.

I'm so glad you made this video because I really appreciate what you said about not wanting to put yourself in a box. I feel the same way! I think this is something many of us new and smaller creators struggle with because being niche specific all the time can feel restrictive. I think part of being creative is branching out a little bit here and there which I've definitely done. Consistency is the real name of the game. But wow, $374.99 is huge as your first paycheck ! Congratulations! Approval within 24 hours is unbelievable! Is this the normal process? Sorry, I'm still working on my channel and thanks for the tips you've shared.

Sometimes approval can take longer! I think KZbin says it can take up to a month. They only approve channels that post original content (no reposting of other peoples content or something like that) no spam, meets community guidelines, etc.

It used to take me so long to edit - certain changes during filming (if I fumble my words, pause and start talking again, overfilm so I have a lot to work with) will make editing so much easier. I edit using iMovie 🥰 You got this! Just start posting and practice as you go!

Hi Katie. What are the rules on getting the full page monetized when you're using the partnered provided copyright music options of music artists in the KZbin shorts section? I saw you had music in your shorts so maybe you know. I have only non copyright music in my full videos on the actual channel..Question 2, I've started another channel & I'm using KZbin shorts to grow the channel, the shorts are singing clips from Instagram of different singers (no water marks) does this count as original content or it wouldn't qualify to be monetized? It’s only on the shorts videos, I’ve posted 3 so far..thanks.

Thank you!! And oh my gosh I love that you are a local but I could still bring you some magic! I actually just use iMovie to edit (came on my Macbook!) so I have never used final cut pro. The longer I do this the more I am considering it, BUT iMovie is great and does almost anything I can think of wanting to do! And for editing tips, honestly taking the extra time to stop walking & film things with a steady hand, and if you fumble your words stop and start over. All that helps in the editing process!! Hope that helps

So many videos out there focus on making thousands of dollars (It feels all about one should become a millionaire from KZbin!!) That is not my focus at all. I'd be happy if I eventually made $200 a month from my channel because that would cover the costs of the cat food I give out to stray cats here in Istanbul. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way, so this video is very helpful. I wish every small KZbin channel out there the best!
