Your channel is a gold nugget. Seriously. The no-bs content is something you start appreciating after a while on YT, and getting served what you clicked for is super refreshing. Best of luck with this channel, get that dough.

Hi Daniel, super inspired by your channel and love the style of both of your channels. Wanted to get a little advice as youtuber to youtuber. I keep bouncing back and forth on what to do about my channel because it focuses on powerpoint and I know how to use powerpoint very well, but I also know that powerpoint isn't everyone's fan favorite topic to search for. With that in mind I have been debating on expanding beyond powerpoint and do fun marketing and design videos. thoughts on whether or not I should stay niche with just powerpoint and own that space first and then branch out or make the switch sooner than later? Trying to pursue my passion of being a creator on youtube, but also want to be able to live comfortably as well and slightly worried if I keep up with powerpoint I might not be able to get a decent cpm. If you have time to check out this comment and respond I would greatly appreciate any advice. :)

When I was signing up to Squarespace earlier this year I went through the list of KZbin channels I like who had a link and decided to go with Mango Street. Interesting to learn that wasn't actually a traditional affiliate link where you get a little (and I expected it to be very little anyway) bit of money if yours is the one that gets used. But it does look like a safer option for a channel / creator to be able to have a longer deal where they know what they're getting up front.

Love this breakdown. Thanks so much for sharing. People simply don't realize that it's all CPM based, and not subscribers. Subscribers literally mean nothing on KZbin, other than being a vanity metric. I've got a relatively small channel (4k subs), but was still able to pull in $3k last month, which was about 10% adsense and 90% affiliates. I think the biggest thing is that people think that getting monetized is the end-all, be-all of making money on KZbin when it's really not.

This video was SUPER encouraging! As someone who has a small channel (25K subs) I am always curious to know what ad revenue looks like for much larger channels (especially from ones that focus on high quality arts/music). So thank you Daniel for the video and the info, it was eye opening and fun to see :) -Dean

Thank you so so much for being so transparent, honest and genuine. I love that you just speak about your experience rather than trying to shove expertise down peoples throats, your openness and realness validates your expertise and is just overall much more informative. So many KZbinrs either never show real numbers when talking about cpm or they make such an annoying deal with 'the big reveal' at the end of the video so that when they do share they just gloss over it. (ps this is dope that a small channel can earn a decent amount)
@RobOnRefresh4 жыл бұрын

Wow, I've seen videos before were youtube's show how much they make but I think this is actually more useful and interesting since you breakdown the comparison super easily about the different niches! I was planning on making a KZbin channel but have been thinking about if it would be better to make two for the different content I am interested in making or just one. I wonder how that impact's a channels CPM if two different niches are in one channel?
