I'm a self funded retiree. My wife and I have a van and Prado that has taken 40 years to buy after raising 3 kids and paying off the mortgage. We travel, and the kids reckon we don't take enough photos. No way in the world I'd want to spend my time filming and editing like you guys. You deserve every cent you get. Congratulations legends. Yes I was 1 if those guys who asked if your work has paid for your car and home as I was intrigued. I've just got back to Perth from 73 days in an oztent with my beagle and Prado on a return trip to Tassie, it was epic and as I said before you guys gave me the push to do it. I quit my job at 42 and off I went. I will be going back to casual work for different companies to the highest bidder 😂, but I never want a full time job again with only 4 weeks annual leave, so for me I make the choice to work casual and holiday when I choose ...⛱️☀️ Be safe guys and keep doing the good work, you guys are good humans 🙏

Something I admire about you guys is you are so down to earth so honest. And just such legit adventures not a “pretty painted picture” from sponsors. It’s actually heart and soul to it. I have watched a few of your series and I am so impressed. Your word of mouth is so valuable to me and helps me with my planning for our trip soon around Oz. I would love to look at the ebook for cooking for tips, as the meals look great. Another point I would like to make is the honesty in how much travelling around costs. I have been a bit worried lately as so many youtube channels where people are spending well over $1k a week. As we will be travelling as pensioners I was so heartened with your budget. great video Sarah and Keegan! thanks for your honest and frank comments on running a youtube channel and sharing your personal income info for some perspective. Previously, i had no idea what youtubers could earn nor the hours involved to earn it. You have done a terrific job documenting your journey and sharing some awesome tips and great locations. keep up the good work and most of all, enjoy yourselves. i’ve been doing preparations for a big lap later this year with heaps of little mods to my ute and van. i’ve made plenty of mistakes and changed directions a few times resulting in wasted money on mods that didn’t work and later changed to something different. no setup is perfect so my point for most people would be to just get out there and give it a go and make changes after really understanding your individual needs. planning on doing a few videos as i go, am right into windsurfing so currently do plenty of promo stuff on facebook as an unpaid advocate of the sport. looking forward to once again travelling this huge country and documenting some windsurfing when near the coast line. anyway, enough bs. thanks again, you guys are the real deal genuine good aussie people! cheers, Al Windsurfer LT1

Excellent and timely VLOG guys. Wifey and I have been in a position to do a 10 week trip one year and a five week trip the next since 2017; but we still live vicariously with you guys, and others, in the mean time. Just sold our Drifta off road camper (Oz made) and picking up our Sunseeker Vision Hybrid (Oz made) next week. We retire in Jan 2023 and will spend 2 years on the road while our new home is being built - I suspect that we'll be on the road for more than two years :) If you can survive caper trailering together, then a modern van should be a breeze. We're both 64 next year but fit as fiddles. I'm still in the Army as a Reservist with 22 years of Regular service. We've been posted around Australia and have always taken the opportunity to go overlanding, starting with a Datsun 200 and 6x4 box trailer, and ending up with a five litre, twin turbo, V10 Touareg and the Drifta camper. We always taken our kids camping, our youngest when she was six weeks old (wifey is an RN and Midwife - so bubby was in good hands). Now we have our forever tug and tow, a highly modified PXIII Ranger and the Vision Hybrid. We've worked hard for over 40 years, paid for our kid's education and helped them out with weddings and home deposits. It's been a dream run with more to come. We'll open a YT channel just for friends and family. Thanks again.

Hey guys! You popped up on my home feed. So good to find another Aussie KZbinr! I’m only half way through the vid but just wanted to say leave all the auto ads in. YT won’t push all 6 out to everyone. They only push the ads out the the audience members the algorithm determines is a good fit. So a viewer may only get 3-4 ads from that 6. Sometimes less. Everyone is used to watching ads. Good on you for being careful with brand deals. I got my first one and I feel the same way. I just can’t do it until I really truely believe in it!!

I have pretty much binged your content this week as it is bloody great stuff. My wife and I are avid travellers. We have done the LAP with our at the time 3 young kids...the best year of our lives back in 2013. Countless trips before and since. We are from Vic but moved to the Sunny Coast in 2017... best move ever.... I'm an older guy in the USA and I enjoy your content. We do have a 4Runner (Prado) and do travel the US camping and Overlanding as a family (3 of us). We have done some videoing with our phones and with a GoPro. We may start a KZbin channel once we retire and have more time to video and edit our travels. I am an electrician and work as an auditorium manager at a High School now so I get where you are coming from...keep up what you are doing. Starting young is a huge advantage, without taking some risk you never know what you can accomplish! Enjoy!!

thanks mate, I think that a lot of KZbinrs do the wrong thing and subsequently we all get a bad name.. I wish I could show you our emails hey, that would be a cool video! , everyday we are saying no to multiple companies throwing money and products at us.. because we either don't rate there stuff quality wise, it doesn't line up with what we do, or we are too strung out and don't want our channel to be all about adverts and making money.. it really peeves me off too

I build camping stoves and I was wondering if you would like one or even if you have room for one, or you could use it in a give away. They come in various sizes for different needs.
