I made an Alien Spy Game in a week for the Chill Devs Chill Jam #6. In this devlog, I discuss the challenges and process of making my game. I go over the process of adding more variety to my game, and focus on some of the specific features that I implemented.

Cool concept, I hope you'll revisit it. You could add facts you learn during the game, and you have to not only make a cogent sentence, but also not say false things or contradictions. Like I-just-met-your-MOTHER -> "but my mother is dead !" You were supposed to pick "sister". The previous character did tell you she was the sister.

This is honestly a super unique idea! At first thought it doesn't seem like it would be fun, but in action it really is. Keep up the great work on the games and channel! I always love finding other small channels and this one has been one of my favorites. Keep it up!

I really hope you don't skip over the "boring parts" explaining your systems in the future! I really like devlogs that explain the thought process and structure. Doesn't need to be a line by line code review, but what you were showing drawn in paint looked like a really helpful resource for new and intermediate devs to wrap their heads around coding architecture. I think you have a lot of promise!! Looking forward to your next video 😎

Thanks for the feedback! This video was kinda a test to see if it was better if I focused on entertainment rather than code; good to know people are interested in the logic stuff so I'll try include a bit more in the future!

I beat both of your games and they're such cool concepts! You're really good at this prototyping thing. Also, I got a pb of 4.28.22 in HOSEHEAD. Not enough for bronze, but I feel pretty accomplished for even beating the game and getting through one speedrun😌

sorry about that! this is my second video and it was a test of whether people would prefer a focus on the more entertaining parts rather than the informative parts. I won't be doing that again in future videos!
