While not the same magnitude, I went through similar issues dealing with Dr's and medications. I finally reached a point where I gave up on them all, and live my life the best I can. My situation isn't necessarily debilitating, but I couldn't take any more meds and figured why go through more issues with side effects than actual issues with my illness? The final straw for me was after taking Prednisone for several years I ended up needing a hip replacement at 33 years old. I wish you the best and definitely miss your content.

Thank You Lee for sharing your story. I was just feeling trapped by my circumstances, especially my abusive dad. But then I remembered you and the difficulties you are facing, especially with the new NHS system, and not being able to get the medication you need. When I compared your situation to mine, I just felt so much better. I was able to see that I have so much to be thankful for and that so many things are going my way. I've grown up seeing my mum being put on the waiting list and every time she was due an appointment something had gone wrong and no one ever took responsibility. GPs put minimum effort in finding out what the problems where and they instead put her on meds just like you said...disgusting! So many ppl in the NHS are pouring their souls and hearts into their jobs, no one sees that because of those who don't, mess up & make it hard! Stay strong we love you man!

OMG I can't imagine. I'm on some of the stuff you have said like gabapentin, amitriptyline and it is horrible. But thankfully I am prescribed pain medication like oxycontin and oxycodone and low strength that now help me. I had a spinal fusion in October and was on oxycontin 30 mg for years before that. Even before that they tried giving me all of those cocktails that did not work but they made my stomach bleed and have many of the same symptoms. I'm so sorry that your health care is not up to date. Unfortunately some drug addicts ruined it for people that actually need it. I honestly thought America's healthcare system was horrible but I am now very thankful I have not had to go through what you're going through. Stay strong and my prayers are with you.

I wish you nothing but the best mate, because of your videos, I went and got an allotment. I sincerely hope you can overcome these challenges. Our country is well and truly fucked right now. Have you considered edible cannabis? Yes it is illegal, and I appreciate it isn’t for everyone, but I have seen some absolute miracle stories. It isn’t the same as what you are going through but recently I went to my GP because I had suicidal thoughts after a family loss, and they threw a prescription at me which only made things worse. I have one suggestion that might be financially hard to do, but many patients from Europe and USA come to Turkey to get their treatments. I live in Turkey and my reason to write this is anything but advertising my country. With 1 sterlin being equal to 6 turkish liras now, finding enough money for this trip would be less challenging I believe. The wait time and cost of surgeries or check ups here is a lot less. Going to another country for medical issues might not sound safe but please consider this.

I had a neck injury a few years ago from shoveling snow. Luckily, it was a pinched nerve and muscle spasms. Doctor put me on an NSAID and a muscle relaxer. I couldn't do anything or drive etc. Then one night, I thought I was having a stroke. Strokes run in my family. My husband took me to the emergency room and they admitted me. After a few days and a CAT scan and an MRI, it was determined that I had a reaction to the meds. I then decided to resort to chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, physical therapy, meditation (TM) and massage. It worked so much better. Hope things work out better for you. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Can you take a probiotic? It helped me tremendously with getting rid of Ulcerative Colitis despite my GI doctor saying that it wouldn't work. Now she says keep doing what you are doing.

Came across your videos when looking for how to grow aubergines. I don't want to slate the NHS as I know how Trusts are struggling (staff shortages, cut backs, etc) but my sister had dreadful problems with two NHS Trusts whilst going through cancer treatment (too long to list here). Thing that helped was reminding the Trusts that my sister waiting, so we made polite calls every couple of days, asking for updates on appointments, etc. We did receive apologies from the Chief Execs from both Trusts in the end. Post-treatment, she's waiting for follow up appointments but has heard nothing, so we'll start with the calls once again! Good luck..... stay positive and keep reminding them that you're still there waiting......

Oh my goodness, You really have been through the grinder mate. Both my children have type 1 diabetes and side effects and illnesses associated with this condition. They are 18 and 20 and I worry that the cut backs and the dreadful state of the NHS will inevitably mean that things will get worse for them. You're misunderstanding the difference between incurable and irreversible. You can reduce/control the symptoms on a WFPB diet. That doesn't mean they will go away forever. They will still return if you go back to eating badly. Advising someone to eat healthy has never been bad advice. I'm just trying to show you there is a large difference between a Vegan diet and a Whole food plant based diet but it's up to you how you take that information. :)

I am so sorry to watch this, I knew you were going through some things at the moment and knew they were serious but nowhere near as bad as this, Lee is it? Lee, mate, get off the lot and quickly, get your head back in its normal space and then re-evaluate the pain from there, this is basically about pain control, there are many many many alternatives methods Lee, these chemicals are not the answer, please, just stop taking them asap, the withdrawal side effects are not going to really be any worse than what you are experiencing now, you can beat this and you can find a way to win with it but you need your really head on your shoulders and not some chemical version of it, just come off them, slowly if needs be but please stop taking them, and see where you are then, apart from the heart related ones of course! Good luck pal, I hope you can manage to do some more updates on you, would love to know how you are getting on.

This is crazy. Our health care system in trinidad is similar - overpopulated and understaffed. My best friend has Spina Bifida and she is having very similar issues to you regarding pain, meds, dismissive doctors, incompetent mistakes and waiting lists and of course the cruel welfare changes which have seen her loose her pip completely ,so I truly empathise. Her experience as she's got older ( shes now 54 ) is that all the brilliant spina bifida specialists she used to see when she was younger have now retired and because spina bifider is now rare in new births, Very few doctors want to specialise in the condition now so the doctors she has to see for the numerous difficulties she has are unabable to join the dots and understand the mechanics of her disability in it's entirety. I'm so angry that you've had to go through all this crap in your life and especially having the dwp stuff on top, adding insult to injury. Please make sure you take care during this corona virus stuff. - I don't suppose you feel like doing a natural medicinal garden vid.? like a square foot garden but with medicinal plants. I was thinking of tring to start one as i have fibromyalgia which causes chronic pain and take zapain like smarties amongst other stuff they have me on but i don't know where to begin with it.

just seen this video, I'm so sorry for your pain. I have recently being fighting the system to try and get the correct treatments and drugs for my condition. We are all supposed to have everything that is required in order to live a healthy pain free life, unfortunately under this government the NHS has been led to breaking point and it doesn't look like its getting better any time soon. I'll get off my soapbox because you know very well the changes that need to be made. It's a vicious cycle of pain, addiction, no support, harm and more pain. The pain is mental and physical, I've been in this cycle for years, but guess what... I'm still here, just, but I awake every morning. I have a roof over my head. I have the love of my family. All this makes me a very rich person with not two pennies to rub together. You, Young man are truly blessed, you have your parents, your granddad, your amazing skills, your ability to grow things, to produce the fundamental blocks of life. It is so frustrating to deal with public health care and the pharmaceutical industry. They do not care and do not put the people’s health as a priority. It is shamefull. I admire you for your honesty by putting your personal saga out in public. It is important to get that message out and get others involve to put pressure on these companies. Since I found your videos about gardening, I have been following you. You have such carisma and will power. Your enthusiasm is infectious. ever had a nurse steal your pain meds in hospital? Some get hooked on the drugs and torture patients. I didn't connect the dots until years later someone told me my experience I had was due to lack of pain meds. The surgeon knew this and talked over my head as if he never heard me. Complicity in the healthcare system for drug addicts working in the system is horrible.

You remind me of what I like about plants, you go through unbelievable adverse conditions, and yet still seek more life. Dealing with horrible meds and the side effects the last 25 years here in for profit USA, I'll say your vids showing your lifetime tenacity are sobering yet inspiring. By any chance have u tried over the counter digestive enzymes as well as multi cultered probiotics. I got myself off all my anti reflux meds and anti diarrhea meds after getting the pile on of meds from for profit pharmaceutical industrial multinational corporations. Your health challenges are huge but you are doing such a service to humanity bringing your vids out for the world to see. You are so much more than this bullshit you are going through. You are inspiring and make me want to try harder.

I have some health problems but not as serious as yours. I have Medicare and thanks to working for the State of Texas for almost 30 years I have Blue Cross. I would have been on the street if I didn't have TWO insurance policies. I spent one night in the hospital with atrial fibrillation and it was over $28,000. And that was only one night! U S insurance and prescription industry is out of control.

When doctors and nurses quite conderdicting each other and truth be told ..my doctor let the receptionist scream across the lobby,my test results,true he wouldn't say a word to me all is fine....they seperated. My son and I because we were both sick they kept him and told me to leave hospital.great doctor and nurses we have...they refused to help the sick...I've never seen him since ...I'm very sick and have been that's my story...

Dude.. I jumped off a 5 story bridge when I was in me early 20’s.. I hurt a disk in me middle back and one lower down.. and nearly broke me ankle.. as I got older I started having severe back ache..I naturally have sleep disorders and has a huge effect on me back.. I’m a weed smoker for more than 30 years and I realized that after smoking or even eating cooked weed I slept way better.. no back and neck ache ..I wake up fresh and happy.. no side effects..no addiction problems(I smoke it natural..not tobacco).. I can put it down and leave it for months at end with no withdrawal problems.. (it’s like eating chocolate.. if it’s there you want to eat it all ..if it’s finish I can do with out..there’s no hold on you)I don’t smoke cigarets and I don’t drink any alcohol .. I do veggies on a 1/4 Acre land in the hot heat of Southern Africa ..I’m not saying smoke weed for I think it is still illegal over there but I’m sure you can use cbd ( for daytime use)or thc(for nighttime use) oil ... it’s the safest and healthiest option out there.. good luck..still love watching your vids..I’m 50 years old .. I go for long walks jogging in the hills on the farm.. work hard and enjoy life.. try it..throw away those meds..it’s gonna kill you.. I haven’t been to a doctor for more than 40 years.. good luck..
