Doing art studies back to back of the same piece is actually really helpful no need to wait for a notable change, listing off the things you’d like to change/practice and keeping it in mind and redrawing a the image with intention, really teaches Art intentions and planning, having intentions in mind before a study really levels up the study. These look good keep going!

I've been thinking about no longer using pen pressure on my art and instead just use a mechanic pen style with thick lines outside and thin lines inside, like what they do on a lot of animated series.

Okay, here's an update. So I've been studying some artwork from Animaniacs, which is my biggest inspiration, and I noticed that many of them are drawn with a mix between thin and thick outside and thin inside, and some just use the same thin pen size. So I'll do that instead.

Ive never really liked pen pressure truthfully. As I'm someone with a jack hammer grip when it comes to art Ive tried doing those line weight excersized. I trully have tried to lesrn but MAN it sucks for me I just love using the milli pen and doing thick lines on the outside and thin lines on the inside (Oh and no anti aliasing because mmmm crunchy pixels)

@XxEthernanoEmiko3 ай бұрын
personally I don't understand pen preassure for it might be my traditional art brain but I just...draw over the line to make it thicker? And I know that's perceived as 'no line confidence' but I've been drawing my whole life and I used a pen for a good two years of my third grade drawing career and began to purposefully use sketchy lines, I mean I distinctly remember not liking my drawings because the lies were the same cause I'd do everything in one stroke lol
@meria20823 ай бұрын
Pen pressure is for line variation. Drawing over lines is something lots of artsts do to add line variation and its just as viable, but it gives a really different look from using a brush with a big range of sizes. I think it just depends on what type of style you’re going for. I really like using pressure sensitive brushes. I struggle with brushes that aren’t cause it means i need to be more accurate
