Happened to me. But it didn't last long, just 20 min. My I-20 said I was joining in September but I was going to an on-campus summer program June - August, before classes formally started in Sep. But the immigration guys just let me go. Wana baraka, wale waombao 🎵🎶 I was very fortunate.
