When Immigration caught up with Don Otieno in the US, he never thought Cynthia Wambui, a woman he had just started dating would write him letters every day for a month while he was in detention,
Then few months after he was deported to Kenya, he asked this woman to come home to him so they could start a family and she did exactly that.

I’m sitting here watching this story with the biggest smile on my face. I clicked so fast when I saw the thumbnail. I went to college with Cynthia many years ago and I’m so happy for her. She is an amazing woman of God with a heart of gold. We lost touch many years ago but it’s just beautiful to watch this story. I’m so genuinely happy for you Cynthia and Don. May God continue to bless your marriage as you continue to do His work and minister to other couples. Lynn thank you so much for bringing this story to your show. I can’t wait to tune in on Saturday when you feature Cynthia.

You have a beautiful family (beautiful wife and children). I have never heard anyone point out at the truth about people like you just did at min 46. I just wanted to add that its so important to invest back home. I've been in the states for over 20 years. I took All the money I saved since I moved here and built apartments in Kenya. The rest is in my 403b. I have a daughter who was born here and she's the beneficiary of all my accounts, so they cannot deny her the money. We never know when our last day here is, but if we're able to, it doesn't have to be the end of our lives. Life goes on and may even be better

@Charity Katam Looks like that. It's hard for someone to just be picked up. See, how far you can go back then, as to buy a house?! But even if it was of a bad intent. It turned around for an ultimate good to serve and make impact to more people's lives, for the glory of God.What was the strong take home for me, was the sense of peace he felt in his decision. When you are spiritually matured in the word and in the things of God. You know what the sense of peace means! Even when you don't know what's next in an unsure situation. There were so many layers to this story of faith, manhood, relationships, marriage, hope, love and life. It is a great story.

You not alone in this route I came back to Kenya after being there for 18 years i left my children there in the state custody going on 4 years here once in blue Moon I get to talk with my older daughter on face book then her Facebook is shutout while I haven't heard from the younger one ever since. They are 16 and 15 years old yes coming here that way isn't easy at all especially when we are forgotten by the people we used to know before going to the US but I have come to realize that God love is the one that take's care of all of us.

"...My wife Cynthia...." "...Cynthia my wife..." Who else notices this line? Wacha this business of "my wife" without letting someone know who this wife is. I like that Don. Who else does? Inspiring story meanwhile.

I love you Don how you said about men responsible. Marriage should be unik and special for those who are married. Creat your own lifestyle through love and fear of God grounded. We have been following the same sorry and has become traumatised and sacred the men to marry. Every where women expect too much and at the end is just misuse the guy trust , emotional and feelings. I love how you said true love exists. Your book I will buy. Am blessed with your testimony.

Thank you so much. At this age and time, tribal, racial etc should not exist. As long as there is chemistry between the two, then the others should back off and let people build themselves. Thank you for sharing. I love you both, say hello to both your parents they have brought you well that a person is a person. There is no kikuyu or Luo we are all people who are loving and kind.

Beautiful blessed story.I love the Otieno’s and I love how they dedicated their relationship to God .As for His deportation ,seems like someone reported his non status to immigration. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. As long as we are kind ,good ,faithful people and close to our Almighty Father. He will always use our demise to bless us.God doesn’t let his people suffer I am a witness of that.Enemies can plan their wickedness but God will use their wickedness to bless his loving faithful children in double, triple potion.I don’t bother with wicked and evil people anymore because I know my God fights my battles .Man cannot and will never be bigger than God.

Am going to read this book...just saw a statement that 'men needs a baby shower too'... isn't that amazing...? This story just took my thoughts to somewhere else...ladies we need to check on our men... remember they also need someone to ask them how they are doing.you don't just need to keep asking for finance everytime.its time we support them in all aspects and I believe marriage will work . Lynn, how can I get a soft copy of the book?

Lynn please try to reach those who believe that there is no marriage in today's. This is a fact and there is no argument. Am sure those who do follow you and a blessed like our guest will try to reach them in anyway. NB; we are dealing with youths who have reached this dangerous situation where they believe there is no marriage in today's world. They do need assistance hoping that those who will listen will help other to come to senses and think positively. Am mother of two 32and 27 and they are in this world. If they will not follow you I will do it on their behalf. As parents we need to be empowered.

Lynn I love what you're doing. You're impacting lives, and I know its your main purpose in life. I'm from Nigeria, but I have this conviction that I'll sit and chat with you one of these days. People who do not know what humility is should watch you while you're chatting with your guests - and that's the secret of your success. Meanwhile, I love the Otieno's, and I implore God to supply their needs according to His riches in glory... Amen.
