I know what you mean, but I didn't look great as a teen or in my early 20s. I had surgery too, but only the minimum, because it is very taxing. I think I look miles better now when in my 30s.

The problem is that mentally she was not well , we as people do think sometimes that by changing our apparences we will appeared more desirable to the one who discriminated us but it’s false . I use to not love my appearance but then I realize that CONFIDENCE is the key , HEALING is the key because at the end of the day no matter how perfect you will try to look there are people who will always judge you . 😞

Lookism is SUPER big in Korea. It's country where it very competitive and they do judge you by the way you look. So plastic surgery is way to compete. It's very superficial but look at k-drama or Kpop it's all fantasy that has some negative effect in how to look. It's sad really. And I hope the Korean people can realize that looks are not everything.

I know it was her choice getting all these procedures done, and she probably has underlying mental health issues that she was running away from like she said. However, I really believe South Korean society, and society as a whole needs to change. We need to stop being such a vain society and start seeing people for who they are rather than how they look. I know it’s an almost impossible thing to do, but maybe if we put more value in other aspects instead of looks, young people won’t feel the need to run to plastic surgery as the “cure-all.”

She's brave being honest and vulnerable. I'm so glad she wasn't botched, but dang 30 surgeries is a lot. I know a lot of girls who hide doing work to their face or body. The next time you go out and see a cute girl, it wasn't cheap. I try to stay natural bc I'm too lazy to deal with mainetnance.

I think society can sometimes put pressure on people to look their Best especially women!! If your not a size 5 or look like Kim Kardashian then your not considered Beautiful!! That type of mindset can make a lady feel bad!! Remember we all want to be loved and feel accepted by our Peers!! This woman went through these procedures to feel better about herself and her outer appearances!! I hope through all of this that's she's learned the Most important thing and that's to Love Herself and be comfortable in the skin she's in!! As I said before, the Korean people are very special to me. I was 17 when I arrived in the Republic of Korea in the US Army. Korean culture I fell in love with; the people, the food, the customs - everything Korean. I always wish to learn the language, I tried it once, but due to a change in my army assignment just one class I was able to attend, and that was in May 1972, I was 20 years old then, but today I am 70. I still have the dream but age has gotten in the way.

I remember this girl i knew and she said she started smoking to stunt her growth because she was tall. I thought crazy thing to do. The girl talking reminds me of friends episode where they mentioned this girl in school who got bullied then saw her in the present and went wow.
