The never ending search for “better”

Hey Teresa. A combination of many things I would imagine. But look at the golf industry for example. You go to any golf store, read any magazine, watch any golf event, and every manufacturer, every product, every instructor always promises more yardage, straighter, and consistent. They are playing to your wishes but most if not all the time it doesn’t work or makes things worse. If you look at Nicklaus, his swing hardly changed throughout his career. Once more money was to be made in this industry, that’s when things started to change. The tour professionals now grew up in the modern age of golf marketing and are in belief that you always have to upgrade your clubs each year, change your swing, your clothes, etc. they have basically been brainwashed much like most of the amateurs with this constant barrage of empty promises.
