Does anyone else watch these videos with a smile on their face, just in the joy of living that this young family shows us? The simplicity of their routines, coupled with the incredible amount of work that it takes, impresses me greatly. What I wouldn’t give to shadow them for a week, to get a true appreciation for all they do. I would probably drop dead! Ha! Thank you for your incredible candor and courage to stand up for what is right. I applaud you, and look forward to the unfolding of the next chapter. And please, do NOT think you are rambling! I, for one, LOVE to listen to your voice and how you translate ON THE SPOT! 😉🌲❤️

his channel is produced by a professional MLN (multi-channel network). Basically they make tons of youtube channels with professional production team of editors and camera-men in a hope that at least 1 or 2 of the channels will become super successful. Every single one of these "van-life style" channels work this same business model. Just watch any of those style of channels and they are all made the same way. In all of them the tone of the voice is the same, the musice, the photos of the nature, they all are artists, the hair, the personal style.

A truly lovely episode. However, the title suggestion that the viewer is going to watch grass grow might not be optimal. What you show, here, is the Swedish spring, the small animals that pop out, and Ivar as he holds his head up and becomes aware of his surroundings. Two major themes moving forward: forest vs. tree plantation and seeing Ivar grow up as part of nature.

First baby comes, and your whole world changes. You will think you will never be able to get anything else done. But the time will come when you will be back to getting lots of work done again, and you will look at your son and remember all the good times and laughter he brought into your lives! Our son is 5 years old. Forest destruction is common here in Northern Maine as well. When logging became mechanized, the raping of the forests went to a whole new level. The big (FOREIGN-owned!) company here is called; "Irving". They "log" the forests, and then spray Glyphosate onto everything, so that their new trees will have no competition from other native plants. This has caused the death of many animals, such as deer. It is sickening. Great video. It is good to hear "baby noises" again. It brings back many good memories of when we were new parents! :)

Does Sweden still have this law where you have to plant 2 trees for every tree you cut down? It is already something but like you said : a plantation is not a forrest. This being said, your animals and you are shaping the forest also and it creates a specific type of forest typical for pre-industrial agricultural society. This forest is very different from the undisturbed ur-forrest. Here is a little video about this : kzbin.info/www/bejne/sIezhnmDrNJqabs

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL FAMILY / LIFE you have! Matthias, the opening of the vid was VERY WELL DONE! And THEN...you 'nourish' us with your homestead views of nature = HEALING GIFT TO US! I Thank-you for all your time/efforts shared. You have to FIGHT to enjoy 'simplicity' in life. The love and communication you share is palpable! SoOOoo many riches you have in your cosey home. There is 'another time' for all your ambitious little projects to settle your home. Even the building of your home and food cellar. I shall continue my prayers that you might have a team of helpers show up and move you forward in ways you had not dreamt of or imagined possible. Continue in 'Gratitude' and doors will open to you. When we complain the doors of opportunity, close to us. When you bring a gift from God into this world (Ivor), and live a life in communion with all around you or placed in your path...when you love the animals and respect all that has been placed in your path (as you both do)...it is a short matter of time before you begin to reap rewards. Beautiful Ivor is soOOoo healthy and wonderfully cared for/loved...he will flourish. Presently he is coming into his teeth soon. My husband (deceased now) was a good man and amazing Papa. He was of 13 children on a small wheat farm in the prairies of Canada. When new babies came into the family, as he was of the first ones...he would (wash his hand) then take his strong first finger and rub hard against the gums of the baby, the baby would almost go into a trance from being so soothed in it's pain. I watched him do this with all our children and they all had fine teeth and loved it when he rubbed hard against their gums. It is very painful for the process to happen to a baby on their own, a little assistance relieves them a good deal from pain. Health to you and God's continued blessing on you and yours.

Little one loves the animals and older one loves to se how things are made by hand. Husband and I were talking about how lucky we are to live in an area with a healthy overgrowth of natural environment around us. We saw a hawk today. We don’t know how people who live in brick cubes who have nothing to see outside their windows but other brick cubes stay sane! Thank you so much for the beautiful video. It was so peaceful, and a much needed break from the virus talk, and the recent turmoil of racial riots all over our country. Your tub will be wonderful. I stayed in the Northern California mountains years ago with friends while they were beginning to build their home. Their tub was a cast iron tub, set in the middle of a meadow. They dug the dirt from underneath, and would build a fire under it about four hours before a bath. The coals kept the water warm and depending on how hot you wanted it, you could add more wood more often or a little at a time. Excited about your company, I definitely will be ordering once it’s up and going. The baby is growing fast and is so cute!

Sadly there are scarey people who do not wish the best for their fellow brothers and sisters plus you'll have to put up with all the 'perfect', (cough-gag) people who will judge everything you do because they know so much better. I've seen on to many others channels how they try to break down happy families so I pray you will be limited from them but remember it's their issues not yours! Seeing you putting Ivar to sleep outdoors in his 'pram' 'stroller' ' buggy' ' baby carriage' 'push-chair' ...(why do we need so many names for this?) Reminded me of when I did the same with my first born son. I had read about the health giving good deep sleep that infants have if snuggled to sleep then put outdoors in the fresh air of nature in cold climates like Sweden. New Zealand parents had become so seperated from nature that babies were always kept inside, always sleeping in warm quiet room. I wanted my children to be calm and content with the outdoor environment and the sounds of nature so slept them near where ever I was working, they slept well and I got my garden or farm work done too. I remember being busy with my horses and people asking where is baby Daniel? I would point to one of the horse's food dishes in the shade beside the horse equipment shed. He would happily be asleep with huge horses walking past and sniffing him to see what this little sweet smelling creature was in their bowl! I never was worried as they all treated him so gently with respect. When he was older and walking he could walk UNDERNEATH the horses, pulling their tails and the mare's teats even and none EVER kicked or hurt him. I think because they thought of me as Boss horse and he was my son (they know this by scent) that he had higher then them social status in their equine order so he was 'untouchable' . Gave me peace of mind with all my children and they all enjoyed riding horses first with me then on their own pony from 2 years old. All slept well in nature AND anywhere we travelled or camped.

This is the first video I found and now I'm back to it after watching from the beginning. I don't even know how KZbin decided this was something I would like - but I love the outdoors, even though I'm a suburbanite near Washington DC in the US. I grew up in a small town alongside the banks of a small river where the trees were our playground. That might be part of it. But I've enjoyed them all as I deal with a teen with autism and a mother in law who lives with us has dementia and we're all in lockdown during this pandemic. It's helped me through these days since I found this vlog.

You have just made my heart burst with love, and gratitude 🙏 the first part of this vlog with the nature is the best I have seen, the birds and the noises brought something up inside of me, that felt wonderful, I had not felt that since I was a child. I was wondering what kind of bird that was walking out of shot. Then I hear you say you are sharing everything with everyone regardless of their ability to pay, his is o generous of you, and nearly unheard of. I wish and hope for you and and your family to have this attitude raise you up in all the ways that matter for you, and hold you well. I would love to spend my later years enveloped by nature and quietness, I have tried, I use to tha every the woods around where I lived, but, where it was the most private to walk has now been cut down, I cried and cried when I saw the devastation, I really did not think that bit of forest would be decimated. With the lockdown, people have come in their droves and trashed the woods, broken branches, damned the rivers thrown rubbish everywhere, there are masks hanging in trees, and they shout and scream and talk incessantly. I guess we are a small place with many people not enough room for peace and quiet anymore. You have a beautiful family, little ones grow up so quickly, even though it doesn’t feel like it, and it is exhausting the change of life needed when they first appear in our lives. Out lives are not our own for many years after the children come, and the one day the go off and have their own lives and we are left some what bereft, but happy and proud of them.

This is a whole new dire tion with your videos , looks like you are going through a very evolutionary process on your channel ( which you were always leaning towards : ) Im so glad you took me along on your journey today , and got up super early to record your beautiful forest birdsong . It has eased me gently into my day and given me some peaceful thinking space. You are both such deep thinkers about whats REALLY IMPORTANT , AND OUR CONNECTIVITY TO GAIA , EARTH MOTHER i thank you so much for your videos and please give Musak ( hope i spelled it right ) a chin rub and a back pat( i have an 18 yr old labrador Hercules) you share your lives to us all so beautifully xx

I am new to your videos and already a big fan, this was a relaxing and a beautiful one, however the previous ones I have watched ,even the ones of your working , I have said they are so relaxing.to me. I live in the USA where farming country is, the cotton and other crops are beautiful , but very little eles to see, as my husband and I are older and do not travel as we have in the past .Thanks for your effort to do these episodes ,I do love to see other countries landscapes and culture.I admire you and your wife for endeavoring this off Grid Life and the hard work you do ,although it seems so rewarding, and l enjoy the sweet baby boy so much!

Interesting bit from the podcast you started this vlog with. I've been watching your vlogs for a few weeks now, and find them incredibly soothing and refreshing. It must be the exposure to nature and the songs of nature that are always a part of your presentations! :)

This video was wonderful! It was perfect....tears started flowing right before the dog and bicycle ride, I petted the cat, then flew down the road with you on the bike. I could almost feel the wind in my hair..I was young again....
