7:42 someone may have already mentioned this, but I think it's worth mentioning that it is also possible that the Dr. Ratio mentioned may not be Veritas Ratio and instead an ancestor of Veritas Ratio, that happens to have a similar temperament as the former. Of course this is just as speculative, and considering the confusing nature of time and aging in Star Rail (e.g. the seemingly heavy implementation that Michal only died within the last 50-100 years) it is obviously entirely possible that Veritas is just extremely old

It's sometimes crazy to think that the NPCs and the curios in SU has such a deep lore and honestly I can't really tell what the Intelligentsia guild is up to like are they someone's allies or enemies or not interested at all like we have only seen a few people from the Intelligentsia guild and the only playable one out of the Intelligentsia guild is just Ratio actually I think it would be quite nice to get more characters from the Intelligentsia guild,And of course they should have the worst 4-stars on their banners who knows maybe then they'll pull up a Ratio move and announce that the character, themselves is freee!! Glamoth could also have been fighting remnants of the Swarm, which, judging from Argenti's quest, could still be a huge threat. Even if Glamoth's civilization on the surface was destroyed, they could still have been producing clones underground or something. Kafka was also there to recruit Firefly, so I don't think Glamoth's destruction happened that long ago

Glamoth was a galatic empire, its downfall couldn’t just happen overnight especially after that successfully push back the Swarm. For an empire that span galaxy to mysteriously fallen like that, it must’ve been a very long time ago or Mythus had to be involved

I am seriously thinking that a plotline revolving around the potential reappearance of a Rubert III happening in the future. Because of the IPC broadcast and Sampo preparing for a catastrophe on Jarilo VI that ties in well with the letter screwllum sent to svarog and the source code owned currently by Clara after the Aetherium wars quest. There is Also Clara 's quest with Pascal a robot gaining some sort of sentience as well and they Are rebuilding the engine of crearion so I wonder if they will expan the area. Considering that whenever you get close to the bridge (on the build site of the engine) you get stopped by guards telling that you can't access this area so I wonder if that means hoyo wants to make the area bigter because otherwise there would just be some sort of invisible wall and if you look at the map there is potential for it to be bigger.

Thanks for listing out things a well as possible! Even for a lore reader like me its certainly hard to really "get" what happened with the format that SU takes. With that said, I would be interested in a follow-up video diving deeper into speculation rather then fact if you know what I mean? You spent a lot of time listing events in this one, but we don't actually draw all that many conclusions from this information. A companion video speculating what this all really means would be cool! One thing I am really certain about though, is the the moment Polka shows up its going to be one hellava event haha.

The crazy SU format is the reason I decided to make it into a series cause if I had to pull out a whiteboard to understand it then it's a fair bet most people didn't get most of it either 😅 Unfortunately I didn't have too much crazy stuff to add to this one yet. Connecting the cuckoo clock timeline together with the anti organic equation actually being experiments with the path of equilibrium was about all I could squeeze out of it for now. If I realise anything important later there's a high chance I make a video on it.

Are Ratio mentioned in Hair Salon and Ratio we all know really the same person? While having normal short-lived people live for thousands of years isn't without precedent, you'd think that it would be mentioned, seeing as Herta's age of at least two AEs is mentioned in the first lines of the game, and framed as a big deal, with the "aging backwards" line thrown as something extraordinary. While there are people older than her, namely other geniuses (RM being #81 and so at the very least as old as her, and Polka Kakamond, who is #4 with all the baggage that comes with it, who very well may be alive and well as per Herta's words), the other cases are usually connected to Xianzhou and/or are capital B Big Shots, like IPC founder Fleming. While Ratio is a big shot for Intelligencia Guild, is he a big enough shot for stuff like this? Is it possible he's the descendant of Hair Salon Ratio? Or he just took the name, seeing as he changed his name to Veritas after university? Or maybe the Hair Salon occurrence just used Ratio as the stand-in for some other known scholar (like was done with Knights of Beauty occurrence: it was made in Swarm Disaster update, but Argenti probably wouldn't be alive in that time, but he's still one of the faces there)?

IMO the Intra-Cognition domains shouldn't be considered part of the G&G timeline. I just double-checked the 3 possible occurrences you can get in them, and none of them mention anything historically salient, plus all of them explicitly acknowledge they serve the meta purpose of shifting your Intra-Cognition for the Simulation. It's like how we don't take Herta and Screwllum appearing in Transaction domains to mean they're involved in the the Swarm Disaster's story. Speaking of those two, they even talk directly to you in one of the Intra-Cognition occurrences. From a wayyyy more subjective standpoint, Dr. Ratio's character works so much better if he's a normal mortal human, but that's just me lol I'M SORRY to be ANOTHER person coming to this long, well-researched video and quibbling with that small detail, and I really do appreciate all the time and effort you put into your lore explanations. Rewatching the SU saga upon the most recent SU update! Thank you for your hard work making these recaps. I had a thought regarding The Black Forest ( 1:16 ). This might be way too obvious to point out, but I wonder if the way the story starts is referencing the Dark Forest hypothesis explanation for the Fermi paradox here? iirc, fundamentally all the humanoids in HSR-verse trace their lineage back to garden variety humans, thus explaining their highly similar biology at the end of the day, disregarding branching evolution or divine intervention (in the case of Xianzhou natives, for example). And we know for a fact that the origin of inorganic life is unknown, the interacting sponge and screws in the story would be metaphors for humanoids and sentient machines in this case, I suppose? And the sponges foolishly call out to the dark forest, without knowledge of the stalking hunter, Rupert's empire with the inorganic equation. Since Aeons ascend from all sorts of life and exist above it, I wonder if the only two lineages of sophonts in this universe are humanoids and machines, or there are others I am missing. The propagation bug folks come to mind, but they are also genetically modified and morphed humanoids, so I don't think they qualify. Perhaps for a lot of the universe's history, it truly was empty and desolate... until humanity spread to fill it.

Idk maybe Ratio tries to become what his ancestors tried to be, since the Laurel Wreath Galaxy had such a devastating fate that befell upon them (thousands of scholars dying, books written by them being drenched with their own blood). I think that Ratio took upon this burden as a means to be the one to accomplish his ancestors' goals (solving idiocy which the scholars deem to be an illness that must be cured). If our Dr. Ratio is the "Ratio" of the SU occurrence, why doesn't Herta recognize or give any comment about him at all? Meaning, maybe he's just like Gallagher (like embodying other peoples' characteristics). Taking after the characteristic of his ancestors, embodying their ideals. 🤔 But due to him not being acknowledged nor recognized by Nous, he embarks on a lonesome path in which he pieced on his own, like another way to be able to fulfill his ancestors' wish. With the mask he constructed for the world to perceive him as, he could do his work behind the scenes. It's just like what he says, he is only doing what a "mere supporting character" is supposed to do. Or it's just me making up BS because i literally CAN'T believe that Ratio is THAT old😭🙏 I can't wait for Amphoreus to get dropped already so that these kinds of theories is able to be corrected or confirmed. It's been teased as his homeworld and I am absolutely SEATED for any leaks that may occur about his character. He's so complex, I love that about him. Iirc he deliberately turns back on Nous because pursing knowledge for the sake of knowledge isn't his goal. He doesn't actually seek knowledge but rather he wants to "raise the floor" with the normal ppl by educating them.

While the idea of non-Xianzhou natives being "long-lived" may SEEM unusual, it should be noted that there are several methods to (theoretically) cheat death and old age via Faster Than Light travel. Different planets experience time differently, depending on the star/s they orbit (solar year) and the speed of their own rotations (day & night). This is a concept that is addressed by NPCs at Herta Station (that one dude who was writing love letters to someone stationed very remotely). Without teleportation or Faster Than Light technology, travel between different timezones can THEORETICALLY enable a person to become immortal (or, at least, eternally youthful and very old). This may explain the unusually long lifespans of persons belonging to "frequent flyer" factions such as the Astral Express, Galaxy Rangers, Stellaron Hunters & the IPC. I would also expect, from such an interconnected and capitalist universe setting, that the average "mortal" lifespan would be longer than typical. With these concepts in mind, it's not TOO surprising that someone like Dr Truth/Ratio could be old enough to star in Gold & Gears.

A big question to ask with Star Rail is how far back its history goes in terms of the franchise as a whole, Honkai 3rd (where Welt comes from) has multiple known and named inorganic sentient beings that are at least 50,000 years old. Possibly even as far as at least 250 million years ago just after Venus was destroyed though we're still not entirely sure if The Sky People count as Androids or Cyborgs...

I loved this! Sim Uni is seriously one of my favorite parts of the game because of all the foreshadowing and hidden lore, so it’s nice that you covered it. SU always seems to prelude the next main planet, so im excited for whatever Divergent Uni brings, even though it will probably add on to Rubert/GnG lore bc of screwy’s involvement and the next region. Also, with Penacony’s main story ending soon and the FF anim, are you going to make any vids on connecting SD to main story/penacony? Sunday and Robin’s stories are deffo not over yet, Gopher dropped a bomb on us, the ‘sea’ that the sacrifice fell in and the crowned prince drowned in could be in Asdana (or oroboros’s sea), Achy (crown guy parallel?) still has a role coming up. Maybe im a little biased bc of how the choir twins turned out to basically be Sunday and Robin and they (along with ena and the choir) are my favorite characters and the swarm disaster being my favorite era. xD

Technically speaking there's no reason he can't be lol maybe he was one of the people who got a blessing from Yaoshi but it manifests in the form of thorny roses, similar to the thorns in Luocha's coffin. He's also placed in juxtaposition to the swarm in his quest/trailers.

The game doesn't tell us, and this is a summary video, so she didn't go into it much, but the 2 known effects of the equation is to pool all the wealth of the universe to the cast iron throne and to make the Inorganics hate the organics. In the video, Lalo speculated that the equation can influence HooH and mess around with the Equilibrium itself, aka reality warper power.

Penacony current plot is based on Swarm, the Family on Penacony, Robin, and Sunday are descendants of the Beyond the Sky Choir. This was told to us in 2.2 TB quest by Sunday and Gopher. The story of Penacony is about the aftermath of the Swarm event for the Choir. Next world is ancient Greek and is likely to transition to Gold and Gears related plot.

Then why does the Ratio occurrence exist? Maybe the geniuses wanted to have some fun and one of them made that story up for fun. Or maybe it did actually happened and one of them heard about it and thought it was so funny that they included it.
