If you're familiar with the VTubing and Twitch landscape, there are two letters that come to mind: AI. And of course, the first person that comes to mind is the AI VTuber Neuro-sama. Vedal987 is the mastermind behind her creation, and ever since she made her debut, she gained notoriety within the osu community, and eventually, the entire Twitch landscape as a whole. However, she was not intended to be anything like she is right now. In fact, she was just intended to be an osu bot, and nothing else. However, that osu bot evolved into an AI streamer of many talents. We now had an AI VTuber that plays osu. First she took over the osu community with her insane progression and the fated battle of Neuro-sama vs mrekk. Neuro-sama sings on stream on numerous occassions, and now is capable of reacting to other peoples' content. Sometimes things go wrong, as the Neuro-sama ban shows, but everyone is so invested that the difficulty of managing her streams hardly comes to mind. Honestly, we might've gone too far, but how did we get here? This is the story of Neuro-sama from her creation, her debut, her management process, and her rise to stardom.

By the way, I think you undersold the difference between what Neuro does and what bots like the auto mod do. The auto mod just reads the game files and sets the cursor position to the note position in the map file. Neuro actually sees the map and has to decide how to react to it. She gets no prior information or acces to files. She just sees the screen and has to figure things out. That is what makes her so awesome.

Great vid, and that ending was gold! Neuro is amazing, and her fans are quite wholesome compared to other Vtubers. Sadly Neuro does have a ragtag group of degenerates that are often in her chat who still try to get her to say questionable stuff, filthy things, and some creeps even try to sexualize her. I really wish the mods would stop the obvious baiting more often but I guess its hard with the amount of viewers. Vedal may need to promote more mods as she gets more popular.

it’s not only Neuro’s personality that is surprising, but how well vedal is on screen. Vedal is very entertaining and acts as a perfect contrast to neuro just with his natural personality; It doesn’t feel like he’s acting on screen, but their personas are able to naturally contrast with one another to make manzai comedy actually funny for a western audience. Oftentimes, I find that Vtubers who try to do the “straight man” act (the tsukkomi) often make it way too obviously forced and over exaggerate the expressions, but the contrast that vedal makes between his usual monotone, disinterested sounding voice and his voice when reacting to neuro’s out of pocket remarks makes a very natural fit and makes for a beautiful duo. Moreover, the addition of other vtubers collabing with both vedal and neuro (such as anny or camila) allows for them to act as a force fueling the fire that is neuro-sama and taking her side to further vedal’s frustration, removing the comedy from the relatability of manzai to a more natural stageplay type where us as the audience are just there to provide reactions and content for the performers and watch how the performers interact with one another. tl;dr, vedal’s natural personality fits very well with neuro’s and creates an amazing back and forth between the two (and if that isn’t his natural personality then he’s got a damn good talent for live on-screen performances)

Look up her recent iq test, she answered the questions wrong until she was told to prove she could do them right and answered them all immediately correctly, meaning not only does she know the answer, she chooses to answer them wrong or right and can intentionally mess with people, offering her cookies makes her more willing to do what you ask. She can learn via several means, she now has a memory system, she has fine tuning which is more like instinctual learning, and she has contextual learning via prompting, that Contextual learning becomes permanent via the long term memory system or fine tuning her on her history. If you've watched her for any period of time you'd realize she actually has very good reasoning ability...
