I’m from the Bay and Cube is on point. We learned pop locking/break dancing from the movie Breakin’ and Crush Groove. Lol. My cousin and I would drag the cardboard around and would battle other kids from the neighborhood. I was ill and my windmill was cold! Hahaha. I remember my cousin got a whooping for scratching up one of my uncle’s Al Green albums! 😂😂 Good Memories
@hershelfowler62574 жыл бұрын
Those movies had a influence on me too. It wasn't until l got older that I found out pop locking, was west coast culture.

The East & West were collaborated before the beef.. Digital Underground, Mc Hammer etc. (west coast) would go on whole tours with Queen Latifah, EPMD, Naughty by Nature etc. (east coast).. When Pac got shot & some other incidents spilled over, that's when the east/west beef erupted.. Everybody was pretty much cool before..
@Mr.Taylor564 жыл бұрын
By "early days", you mean in the early-mid 80s coinciding with the first Hip Hop films? That would have been dope if you look at what both coasts had to offer. The street culture landscape would have been totally different because of the music alone.

Being an 80s baby from NJ I loved hearing Kane, Biz, G Rap and all of that and when I started seeing Cube, Dre ect I was like wtf is this? Their whole style is different and I remember asking my mom where Compton was because I wanted to see it one day. She told me it was like where we live, lots of shootings and violence but it sure looked more fun to me 😎. Shout out to those hip hop videos that showed me different places and I sure have traveled to them and met people. I'm a different person than I would have been with a more open mind.

@@AK-ug1md Dudes will come up with all sorts of conspiracy theories. Y'all seem to forget that Rah Digga is still a performing artist; she isn't just sitting around the house watching TV and eating cereal. She had questions for marcus sanders so why would she dodge him? Personally, I wish she had been there for that interview because she brings a much-needed additional dimension to the show, and when she's absent her perspective is missed.

Leave Easy E in his grave and move on. You need to think about your black children future in America and their children future. Cube is a great man who is thinking 100% about his people. You need to do the same. Do you want your children to be the next George Floyd or prisoner number. Under Democrats black people have been incarcerated by thousands. The Democrats don't like black Americans either, so you might as well fight to get something for your vote.
