How Nianfo Can Help Us Change Karma

The practice of Nianfo (Amitabha-recitation) is one of the most effective methods to help us change our karma and not only that if we can seek rebirth to the Pure Land in one lifetime then one can be free from all karma as one will realise enlightenment very soon in the Pure Land.

Ask people why do you want to learn Buddhism? You will get all kinds of answers and all are related to themselves or their families. You don't hear from anyone, they want to become a Buddha. The fact is, for one to be able to engage in this KZbin and encountered Pure Land Buddhism is already inconceivable. This is no ordinary coincidence. Without good roots one can never hear of Pure Land Buddhism and chanting Amituofo method. It means you have an opportunity to become a Buddha in this lifetime. The question now is can you hold on tightly to this opportunity. Pure Land Buddhism and chanting Amituofo method is not a for one to become Arhat or Bodhisattva. It's a method for one to become a Buddha similar to Amitabha Buddha. This is a Sutra of Equality. Congratulations to all listening to this KZbin.

One medicine for all diseases , pureland is coolest practice. I practice chan for many years, it is not hard but not as easy as pure land practice.

Yes, and I find that I get a bright feeling and Universal connection quite instantly by reciting Namo Amitabha. It feels like connected to higher power source, quite immediately. I never, ever felt that immediate bright feeling with Chan/Zen type methods.

Tips: Have an INTENTION (I want health, wealth, success, to be born in pureland..etc) For best result, please find a quiet place and start chanting with bodhichitta (to be enlighten for the benefit of all sentient beings). Keep chating to a point where your mind isn't thinking too much--you will start to see results.

Very very nice words. However, I will add one thing. What you say about find quiet place is totally true to start and is preferable for morning practice, however, during the day and with a little advancement, quiet, comfortable places not needed as much. Part of what makes Nianfo unique is that, it's largely based on receiving a flow of Buddha's Light, just by thinking, imaging or saying Amitabha. That isn't totally based on very quiet circumstances. I live in very crowded city and I still can feel Buddha's energy, even through the crowds, even with silent Nianfo. This is what makes this practice very, very different from others. However, yes, when beginning and for morning practice, it's very ideal to be in quiet place Amituofo ❤

Yes absolutely, like the Amitabha Sutra told us, every morning in the Pure Land, one can travel to ten billion Buddhalands(countless Buddhalands/Pure lands) in the ten directions to make offerings to the Buddhas then come back to the Pure Land in one instant. Amituofo 🙏
