As a Nigerian, it's so refreshing to see objective coverage of my country's socioeconomic, political situation. It is undeniable that we face so many issues stemming from tribalism, economic mismanagement and corruption, especially due to our current ruling party. How we will get out of the current quagmire is beyond me. I am also glad to see someone who doesn't just say that our problems are due to colonialism or racism. Respect to you.

@@drlemon7729 How long will you blame colonialism for your situation? India, Latina America and a lot of South East Asia spent much more time as colonies than most of Africa did. Nigerian here, I absolutely love the video. It is honest, accurate and not judgey. Nigeria is a terribly managed country and that is the source of its problems. Nigerians have a similar mentality to Americans, we might not be the best, but we are determined, energetic and vocal about our abilities and strengths, however, Nigeria has the worst people in the world managing it. @@historyofeverythingpodcast Mate, I fully support your analysis of the issues in my country. One thing to also add is that a lot of resentment is from the rigged elections that put Tinubu in office, the fact that he encouraged protests in past administrations but suddenly is against it now, the poorly thought out economic policies that the past two administrations have rolled out with no thought to the consequences and the pervasive tribalism that makes the fear of another civil conflict an ever present danger. Also, the massive national debt, food mark-up to over 300% and the police brutality. Then the fact that most politicians have no idea what they are doing. Murphy's Law is a part of the Nigerian national constitution. Everything that can go wrong is going wrong.
