Life appears at times we are all Don Quixote's tilting at windmills. Now with social media (which is a very large magnifying glass) it's a very loud chorus of deafening opinions but never lose sight of life that is intrinsically simple and when one starts the movement into feeling comfortable in one's own skin one accesses that healing silence.

Thanks Lisa. Love your videos and the energy you have :) Could someone help me understand why we have to work on our personal self if it doesn't exist, never existed and is the illusion? My self is the problem... I would prefer to be done with it and never have to deal with or through it. I'm not sure I have the stamina or the discipline to keep seeking Self realisation. If I could have one wish come true it would be that I was never borne hence why I'm pursuing liberation (to get away from this ego mind body)...

I hear you Rich. I’ve found myself asking some of the same questions. Where I’ve found peace is accepting the infinite un-knowingness, and the absolute knowing that there is limitation in every thought. Both those that feel positive and those that feel negative, including what I’ve just said. There’s a weird beauty and wildness and freedom in between. How can anything save "your" life, especially Non-duality, which negates anybody having a life and Causality itself? It is not a Concept or an object that can do anything to anybody. It is ALL THERE IS

Suffering sprouts from an identification as a separate self. The apparent “you” seems to “improve” because it’s not weighed down by all the suffering that most body-minds (people) experience. Even though it’s illusory, things seem to change for the “better” when there’s a true recognition of non-duality, that there is “not two”.

Is it possible for it to be "too late" (regarding the "catastrophic collapse")? This all started falling apart a few years ago and i kept going in and out of the realm of psychology ad psychiatry because it would seem like a good idea, and then it would seem hopeless and pointless and even sometimes seemed to be harming me even more, so i would pull out. now i absolutely refuse to take psychiatric medications and see therapists, and am living in what seems like this eternal sense of vagueness, dissociation, powerlessness, subtly-tense hopelessness (I live in a homeless shelter and I have to essentially not have a voice in the face of all the violence and annoyance around me because if I do, people attack me or I just feel like I'm an annoying person and suffer the consequences of that). And no, I am not a drug addict, nor do i consider myself to be "inherently" "mentally ill". I truly feel like I am sanity itself, stuck in a realm of violence and manipulation. And I just have to stay quiet and suffer this vague, mushy, subtle discomfort until I grow old and the body withers away

It’s never too late because “time” is part of the illusion. Identifying “yourself” as this character that you are describing will bring about suffering to the character. If you perceive that all of this is just “happening”, it becomes impersonal. The construct of “me” is illusory. You are presence. The story is written. If it’s all about “you”, lots of things seem inconvenient or convenient. The sky doesn’t get effected by clouds that form and dissolve within it. Neither does your True Nature by the character. You ask Jesus to take your guilt. Ask him into your life and he will forgive you.

The guilt comes from the sense of being a separate self. If there is no “you”, what is there to be guilty about? Things just happen! There’s only an issue when “you” think “your” behind it. When there’s a true acceptance of this understanding it seems to lead to less experiences that would make “you” feel guilty.

Identifying as “someone” who is having a hard time causes suffering. If you just see that there are hard times happening, you don’t take it personally. Identify with the unknown while playing the role of your character, because there is no other way things could have been. Simple as that pretty much. Every moment is perfect. The sky doesn’t get effected by the clouds that appear in it. Neither does your True Nature when there are hard times in the experience that’s perceived. All is well, in the most absolute way. Hope this helps!

From what I’ve been hearing it sounds like the sense of self doesn’t have the power to do anything , so the false person can’t do anything to wake up, so waking up.either happens or it doesn’t.Is there any point to listening to non duality or being spiritual if that’s the case?
