Vermicelli is a type of rice noodle which is a whole different category devoid of starch or gluten. Many Asian countries have completely different set of dishes specifically centered around rice noodles which could have been another video. If they are talking about wheat/flour based noodles (as they have done for every other country apart from India) then in the case of India they could have spoken about the tradition of making a completely vegetarian dish combining wheat flour based dough with some kind of dal (pulses) in cooked liquid state with added tempering of cumin, red chillies and ghee. This is commonly done in various parts of the country. It's called Dal ki Dulhan in UP, Dal Dhokli in Gujarat, Varan Phal in Maharashtra and Dal Pithi in Bihar.

All these Noodles will vanish into oblivion when you tasted the Vigan City's (in the Northern Philippines) "Miki" served with a hot Pandesal and Boiled Egg. It's so simple and yet the most delicious noodle soup I have ever had. You won't get enough, you will ask the waiter to refill your plate until you are too full you can even get up your chair. I swear I eat this noodles every morning at 5-7am when it's the only time it is served. After that, only you could do is wish it's 5 in the morning.

I'm English, and live in a large town which is a major rail hub. We have an annual food+drink festival where many street vendors come, and cover the town square and beyond. A while ago, some of them had so much success they decided to band together to buy an unused covered walkway's floor space [Alongside a local fruit+veg wholesaler] and set up stands there [alongside an outdoor fruit+veg market]. This walkway leads up a hill; from one exit of the major shopping center to another, where the town square; library and high street are. This exit had a large Burger King. And a Vietnamese Street food vendor set up right next to *that exit.* If you would walk out that exit at lunchtime, you would see a queue before you got to the BK. It wasn't for Burger King. *It was for the Vietnamese stall.* You've heard of queues coming out of stores out of a mall? This is a queue backing up into one! The Burger King is now out of business. The Vietnamese stall is still there. Alongside Japanese, South African, and things like good old grilled cheese sandwich and bacon stalls. Their most popular dish is by far Pho, and they easily do the most business there with the possible exception of the fresh fruit+veg market which is like x5 their size. The combined endevour is so successful the council replaced all the old lighting of the walkway, and renovated the place so it was generally nicer than just a roof between two sets of brick walls.

Laksa also has the same shape as those noodles and ramen, except it is made using rice flour and cooked using fish broth (includes the fish meat as well), with some chillies and simmered down before serving it together with some limes, red onion, cucumber and parsley (optional). It's a savoury dishes with a tangy taste and fulfilling. In Malaysia, it is safe to say that every state has its own version of Laksa (its use of ingredient differs according to household and tradition).

Lmao Btw, I understand your meaning, but inquisition is the wrong word lol... Sorry to be that person but... Inquisition has two meanings 1. a period of prolonged and intensive questioning or investigation. 2. an ecclesiastical tribunal established by Pope Gregory IX c. 1232 for the suppression of heresy. It was active chiefly in northern Italy and southern France, becoming notorious for the use of torture. In 1542 the papal Inquisition was re-established to combat Protestantism, eventually becoming an organ of papal government. Neither of these really fit lol...
