I'm crying, these passages are describing 2021 days. Praise God he showed me the way of life, the way that takes to him.

Personal experience on how I lastingly overcame my anxiety: It's a cycle of thought --> emotion (what you feel) --> thought --> emotion (what you feel) .... First you need to differentiate between these two. Because dealing with one is different from dealing with the other. Since it's a circle, you must break one of these, but you can deal with both. Dealing with the thought(s) is more important. The circle (your anxiety) does not disappear instantly. But it becomes weaker every time you manage to break one element of it. 1. Regarding the emotions you might search for breathing techniques or methods to cause physical pain to lessen the feeling. And remember the emotion (= physical, what you actually feel when anxiety manifests itself) is not the same as the thought which triggered the emotion. You cannot fight the emotion itself or run away mentally without making things worse. But what you can do is to face the emotions which means to become aware of your bodily symptoms and accept them voluntarily. Your emotions cannot (!) force you to fight them mentally (= with your thoughts). That’s how the chain between emotion and thought can be cut by refusing to fight the emotion after having had the thought. 2. Regarding the thoughts themselves: Your thoughts can become an inner circle if you start catastrophising. Catastrophising must be interrupted right at the start and must not be thought through till some presumed result is found which falsely promises inner peace. How do you do it? You must not try to not think about it because that does not work. Instead, you think about something else something that distracts you very easily (for instance, in my case that’s the latest football news). And now back to 1.. And remember, the anxiety circle doesn’t disappear instantly, but it becomes weaker every time focus on 1. or 2.. Your anxiety will steadily decrease by time, might take you days, weeks or months. But it works if you stick to it. You are in control. Your fear cannot force you to fight it. “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” (1. John 4:18, highly recommend the entire 4th chapter)

I've been a Christian for many years and within the last few years I'm struggling with anxiety and depression due to physical health issues. I'm on medication for both. I want to get off of them so much because they have altered my life in so many ways especially spiritually. My family, friends and church family as well. I'm so sorry for not dealing with my issues as I should have. In fact I don't know how I even got to this place in my life. I'm a 64 year old female and I want my life back. Especially my relationship with The Father. Please pray for me. I've been praying and praying. When I read my Bible I understand it but I lose my focus. I need help😭

nanaboys2 I have been in that same place as well a couple of years ago. I am 60 and female, too. I was on anti depressants and anxiety named.. I wasn't myself, and couldn't feel a spiritual connection with God then. I chose to go off all med. and to start a daily exercise program, to stay focused on the very day, not worry about past or future. Just the day. And start first thing in morning in the Word. And volunteer in my community helping to feed the hungry...My life took a 180

nanaboys2 I also meant to say, God bless you, and you made get need some med. I am not telling you to stop Ned's, just that is what I had to do for myself to get God back as number one in my life. I pray for you this day.

Please pray for me I just realized that a debt that I had thought I was almost done paying off had 16% interest on it the whole time and I still owe the same amount that I did when I first started paying off 4 years ago I feel frustrated because I should have known this and trying to trust God that he will take care of things and that I will be able to take care of this debt. Satan is trying his best to make me lose faith but I'm holding strong on to God and knowing that he cares for me no matter what the situation I'm going through.

If you read these verses in context- 1 Peter 5:6-10 KJVS [6] Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: [7] Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. [8] Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: [9] Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. [10] But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you . You will see the whole point of afflictions is to make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. You are suppose to have faith that the race God set before you, is a part of the maturation process. Another set of verses along this line of thought are these. Hebrews 3:8-10 KJVS [8] Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: [9] When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. [10] Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. You have to have faith that the afflictions and suffering is necessary in making a person mature in love. 1 John 4:16-18 KJVS [16] And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. [17] Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. [18] There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. Fear and anxiety is the lack of faith in God. Spoken by a man who has lived 34 years with chronic pain and weakness due to a spinal cord injury. www.justifiedfreely.com

You will be forgiven by God, don’t worry! Many people relate to you, the solution is to trust in God because He is constant, unchanging, and eternal. Also - Jesus is not the Father, He is the Son.

@kana756 жыл бұрын
anatoiseon through prayer! Express your fears and anxiety and then declare that the Lord has it all in his hands, your life is in his hands. Proclaim that you dont believe in the lies of the devil. Also spend a lot of time reading your bible and praising God. Your mind wont be focused on your problems but rather on the one who is able to change everything

I also find that by focusing on God and his word rather then the problem that my anxieties leave. Save scripture on your phone and read and meditate on it when you anxious. Even if just for a few minutes. Just throughout my day today I must have done that 5 times. It is such a help!
@regul8or716 жыл бұрын
Yes! Even though this thread is short, what y’all are saying is KEY! From my own experiences, when I focus on the lies that I’m hearing, I experience anxiety (pretty intense sometimes, too). When I focus on Jesus and His truths and promises, I experience absolute peace (and the freedom that accompanies it). Don’t be surprised, though, if you experience some (or even a lot of) resistance. After all, a follower of Jesus who is fearless is quite threatening to the enemy. The enemy will take any chance he gets to hit us with his lies. Fight the good fight. Choose and focus on the truth! Check out Philippians 4:8. Peace! (pun absolutely intended)
@g1533g2 жыл бұрын
Philippians 4 helps answer that: The Lord is at hand; 6do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

BS! This man has not got a clue. I have had a horrific anxiety disorder for years..much from the OT God. Jesus is the Only One Who Can Save you! "Obey Jesus commandments and Seek HIM and HIS Righteousness..and He will Deliver you from evil." which Means..DO NOT listen to men including men's words in the bible. Seek JESUS FIRST. Do not read that bible without His Help. He Will Show you HIS TRUTH and in time..as you See..you Will Be Saved and Freed and Healed. Jesus is OUR ONLY SAVIOR. And not the book one..The REAL One..Who is your Personal Revelation from Jesus Himself. It is ONLY Jesus Who Knows what you Need and How to Present it.
@Hischild19744 жыл бұрын
These men of the Bible that you speak of, like Paul etc wrote books of the Bible that were Holy Spirit breathed. They are not their own words as you imply, if I understand your comment correctly. So when we are reading the Bible we're not merely reading men's words but the words of God Himself through them and thus we do get to know Him better by reading His word! Obviously we also need to spend time in prayer etc, but saying don't listen to men's words in the Bible isn't correct. We should listen to them. Holy Spirit will reveal to us the scriptures as we're reading it, so I'm not quite sure what you mean. But yes, seek Him first and not man's comfort eg. your husband's, mother's comfort, but seek God, the great Comforter :) God bless xx

Lorraine vd Maas Covering your head..submitting yourself to titled churchmen..celibate men..women not allowed to speak In church..as well as other commandments of Men..Are NOT Commandments of God. @@cynthiaholland13 Sorry..I Trust Jesus! Not you and your interpretation which was actually said by Paul! Not Jesus! Jesus Said to “Seek Him and His Righteousness” ..not a book with many man’s commandments. Once you Seek Jesus..He will guide you to His Truth..not mens opinions.

So what do you think some man is going to say More Important than God? You need to listen to yourself! Just because Jesus could say in a few words..takes a man an hour or two doesn’t mean Jesus didn’t say enough. Jesus Said Everything we Need to Know and illustrated it with parables too. What on earth do you want mens garbage for?
