"A site were you can see the recently closed transactions, the history, etc, it just doesn't exist" - actually something like that sort of exists, but it is accessed only by the realtors themselves. About a year ago I was visiting a property with a realtor and I asked her what sort of price she thought that apartment could be rented for. She answered that she was going to check the history of the rentals in that area in the last few months. 'How can you do that?' - I asked. 'Oh, we professionals have access to site X" that has all that data'. I asked her the name of the site and later investigated it a bit. It did have data that is not available for the layman (I think you have to pay a monthly fee). I'm ashamed to confess that I'm so dumb I didn't write down the name fo the site, and now I forgot the name... But if you ask a realtor they'll be able to tell you. Please tell me if you find out.
