As an official cheapskate, thanks for informing me that it will be a pain to fit, need hacking to get in and annoy me slightly! I'd still not buy the Sony - can't bring myself to spend the extra 'just on the brand' ;-) Best review ever! Totally honest and refreshing to watch, even though I felt your frustration whist watching your battle!

A few things: 1. The old radio fascia is not supposed to separate from the main radio-unit. The whole unit should slide out of the cage whilst pulling on the keys. Not a problem if you are disposing of it. 2. The new unit probably has a setting to switch off the camera warning. 3. The fascia trim never seems to fit perfectly, even on the top-brand units. Good video and nice interaction.

Yes it certainly should all slide out together - did this a few times at Fiat with no issues before so unsure why this one was getting so stuck! Happily disposing of it though... Yet to find the camera warning but will definitely take a look and so glad even the top brand units have badly fitting trims, I thought it may just be this one but that does put me at ease! Thank you!

You need to pull the clips sideways to release the lock and hold the radio on to the clips.

Have you noticed if that device drains the car battery? (if you drive it everyday probably won't notice it, but still...)

No problems thus far! Mind you it's on switched ignition, not permanent live, so it's not draining while the car is off

How did you know i wanted to know this? My daughter got a 2012 panda as a first car and it came with a Chinese android system that only partially works, basically no instructions and definitely missing some wiring connections, Halfords were useless and shopping on fleabay would be good if you knew what exactly you were looking for 🙄 We will figure it out or just buy a new one and start from there. Really not what a teenager wants is a sound system that doesn't work. They don't listen to radio but i want it all working. I may have been involved in her decision to get a panda 😂 You just can't beat them and as a learner car, being square should help her parking and road position.....

Oh for sure, definitely try aliexpress - I’ve been impressed by ours for the price! You can also pay more to get a reverse camera etc, but the Panda is great because it has such good visibility - I loved mine as a first car!
