To be fair... streamers like Asmon wanted to quest but its literally impossible to quest on a good speed with hundreds of people around you so i can understand why many of em dungeon grinded. I was a slow leveler (because of work) and even 3 weeks after launch i had to fight for an hour for 5quest items ^^

I'm not a streamer but exactly like that. A lot of these guys, again just like me, played vanilla on private servers for a long time and while people who didn't can/should enjoy the game like to want, it's not what the streamers want out of the game. I leveled 10+ mages (and most other classes at least once) on "blizz like" servers and I know most quest texts by heart, I enjoyed sight seeing and figuring stuff out 10 years ago. Most people did not, they don't need to rush for fear of missing out. Then, most streamers bragged how pro they are and how easy the game is, they need to prove their point by getting "ahead of the pack" quite quickly or they'd lose their credibility/viewers/income, much like Tips Out just did.

Running fury tank with hardly any mitigation/avoidance, they're squishier than rogues. My rogue has legit had to OT on many boss adds because the tanks died from being so squishy in classic.

@Puppet yup equip shield, shield wall wall if needed, or shield block. Blaming the healer on the boss with the two enrage dogs, when the tank just runs in with no shield, is just dumb. Most lvl 60 shields have 2k armor or more that is few % damage reduction off the top, not mention you have ability to block to further lower the damage.

I remember finding Alex's streams of trying everquest for the first time and thought, "Huh, I wonder if he stuck with it." Then I saw he was streaming. I pop in and ask if he was interested in the new everquest server launching on 10/25. He then went on a 15 minute whine fest about how WoW classic is better, something I'm more than happy to concede to him as EQ is truly only for a select few people who like it. It was just funny though to see him completely 180 from his everquest streams where he's all, "This is the best game ever. Yeah you actually have to try." It wasn't "easy" 15 years ago, because there wasn't the amount of info and shit as we have now. The reason vanilla was "hard" back in the day was simply because it was new and the majority of people had no clue wtf they were doing. Legit there's footage of raids being done with people clicking and keyboard turning lmao. Plus with shitty internet and computers coordinating 40 people was indeed hard, but that's about it. Obviously compared to modern wow it was piss easy, it just required a lot more time investment which people confuse with difficulty.

Back when I played I had to look down on the ground and keep it there to even be able to do 40 man raids. Otherwise my computer would overheat. I knew a lot of people that did the exact same thing. Yeah I was a solid Holy Paladin healer and got so annoyed with fury tanks that had like average gear bitching at me. It’s like, “you realize I am just flash of light spamming which heals 5-7% of your max HP right? You run in there with trash gear and no shield - there’s literally nothing I can do to save you.” I have also played with insanely geared fury warriors, and that was a different story. They often threw a shield on for pulls just to give us a chance to heal.

I'm a private server guy. I did Naxx on Pservers. I knew from the moment Tips opened his mouth, he was a sham. The way he speaks and approaches various things in the game tipped me off real quick that he was one of those wanabe tryhards that would try to take authority without any kind of justification, skill, or qualification to back it up.
