Over 10 years ago, LA collective Odd Future changed the face of hip-hop with the group’s debut mixtape, 'The Odd Future Tape.' Led by Tyler, The Creator, Odd Future boasted nearly 20 members at its peak, and helped several artists launch solo careers in music, fashion, and beyond. From Tyler to Frank Ocean to Earl Sweatshirt to Syd and Matt Martians’s band The Internet, the group’s members have come a long way from Odd Future’s early days of using shocking lyrics to grab attention.

I met Earl in Johannesburg like a month ago. Whats crazy is he was just walking in Melville, a popular nightlife area, ALONE, and although people knew who he was nobody rushed him, they just greeted from a distance as he walked by. Shit was actually really cool.

They the same cause tyler is getting so much better and he has more albums too UPDATE: 2 YEARS LATER Lyrics: Earl=Frank>Tyler Production: Tyler>Frank=Earl Discog: Frank=Tyler=Earl (Both have at least 2 legendary albums, Frank with blonde and endless/channel orange, tyler with flower boy and igor, earl with some rap songs and idlsidgo, also nostalgia ultra, wolf, bastard, and doris are all fantastic albums too) Overall: Tyler=Frank=Earl All 3 are legends and my top 3 fav artists. It’s crazy to think that Earl, Frank, and Tyler all went somewhere without OF. Tyler got the recognition he deserved on Flower Boy and IGOR. If anyone knows real lyricists, you know Earl is a great one with Some Rap Songs. And of course Frankie Ocean, he went into hiding and came back with Endless which is underrated and secluded and of course Blonde which just won Album of the Decade. OF forever❤️

Being in highschool when OF was in its prime was so great. The memories that were made with OF as the soundtrack are endless. Easily some of the best times of my life. It was all OF, tyler, earl, Mac (aka God), cudi, wiz etc. one of the best eras of music for sure.
