Daniel, at 3:32, are the Aftermath ROIs supposed to be negative?
@NextLevelLife2 жыл бұрын
Oops! Good catch. No, the Aftermath ROIs should've both been positive. I just must've hit the delete key one too few times and as a result missed the negative sign when I was updating the figures. I'll pin this comment so that other who may have had the same question can see it. Also, I noticed as I was re-watching the video back that at the 12:11 mark that I said all crash years for the stock-bond mixed portfolio held their losses to no more than 27%... but the chart shows the deepest crash for that approach was actually 23.6%... The chart data is correct, the worst crash was a little under the 24% mark, not 27%.

Honestly, what's caused me more angst than the market drops is just how much less valuable my net worth feels due to all of the inflation.

So happy that I have the Vanguard UK Income fund that was up 5.5% on the year for me.

It’s interesting how USA focused your target audience is, the UK FTSE 100 is up 0.9% this year, albeit S&P 500 is up more over the longer term. As ever diversification rules!
@8G00SE82 жыл бұрын
SP 500 for a UK investor didn't drop much either, the pound being devalued meant the currency difference basically kept it even.

Yes, I would assume that the vast majority are US based.

S&P500 is up 4.24% year to date. Beating the FTSE by a wide margin so far.

100% $SCHD in my stock portfolio. Market-like returns with lower volatility and growing cash flows year over year. Retiring at age 50 with the 5% rule, a part-time job and a paid-for house. Will quit the part time job when it’s time to take social security. Six figures of retirement income, six months of vacation, and very low fixed expenses.

By having 100% in a single stock, you are not following his advice.

@@spencervance8484 SCHD is an index fund, not an individual stock. I don’t intend to follow his advice. I have my own strategy and it’s working wonderfully.

@@CalmerThanYouAre1 SCHD makes up 30% of mine. Rest is split between VTI and SPY. And 10% individuals. Good luck!!
