@@owladventuresuk it was something we started last year. I was trying to hide different lures in spots and then, have them jump out as we went around the yard. Only issue is should seem me hook up the drag line and figure out when the lure was hidden ( not very well, ) and grab it before I even got started. lots of hawk walks once the snow is gone . Just having issues with her and our dog. We ended up with a cowboy corgi, Now the biggest issue comes when our bird doesn't think the dog is doing his part correctly, found out, corgis generally don't like being told what to do. a clash of wills

@@sprk11 Ha! Dogs can be such funny animals, just like my cocker spaniel. It sounds like your hawk is better at being told what to do. Great work your'e doing there and progress building up.

@@owladventuresuk thank you. It is a bit different flying a Harris's as opposed to the redtails and falcons I've flown in the past. she works closer naturally. I've put her on harder game than perhaps I should but she seems to enjoy chasing ducks and grouse most days. Finding snow shoe hare the past couple years has been a bit harder than in the past. But I am lucky to be out in the Canadian countryside . My favorite hunting grounds are only 15 to 20 minutes away perhaps less but logging has ruined our best hare area. This year I'll put the extra drive in to get to hare grounds and as for the dog once he learns to herd the rabbits there will be a better relationship. Anyway. good hawking and thanks for putting up with my endless chatter the cold winters put a cramp in hawking with a Harris's and sometimes I end up rambling, specially with someone who hasn't heard my crap before
