You guys do realize the reason why it's messed up is do Disney's Stranglehold on what they allow Fox to do with their intellectual property. It's a strategy that pre Disney Marvel was known for that cost them so much that they had to sell to Disney. Hence the tone shift and the Blade series from serious Supernatural horror movie to a less serious Supernatural fantasy comic book movie. They had a nasty habit of initially being loose with what they allowed third parties to do with their intellectual properties. then as soon as it became popular tighten the reins and force it to be more like the comics. But now that Disney owns it they tighten the reins on any third-party production IE Fox with them only having cursory responsibility for the failure. In doing so Fox is the one that takes the financial hit. Notice how as soon as Disney took over Marvel that there were no longer movie tie-in toys or even comics. It's also they don't take a financial hit. With them profiting off of their cut of the third party merchandising that they allow which is minimum at best. And as for Disney's alterations done for the movies instead of eventually making the movies like the original comics. they make the comics like the movies. Long story short the mass is the force Fox to sell the theatrical production rights to Disney at a very cheap price

I'm sure that we could get some really great movies from them. It's been a bumpy road for the X-Men and the mutants with really good films and really bad films and now we're getting TV shows like Legion and Gifted. Fox is getting its groove and flexing with their brand now that they realize that there's a demand for superhero TV shows. It'll be a shame that they only do it for a short time before Disney/Marvel stops them before they even get a chance. Thirdly: You're missing the point of my comment. I didn't say that I didn't want the X-Men meet people from the MCU and do cross-overs and that sort of thing. That would be cool. I'm saying that the potential for some of the hard-core characters like Wolverine, Deadpool, X-23, most of characters with Weapon X, may not be as high as fans would like it to be. Comic sales haven't been high for years despite the superhero cinematic universe genre taking off, so fans of the comics are probably less than you think. If crossovers are what's going to please the fans, then that's pretty shallow to think that. Fourth: I have seen the violence on that show. But Netflix is the one who is producing it, not Disney. If Disney were to produce a Daredevil series, it would be on ABC like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (which is also nearing the end too after so many time changes and placements). While Marvel is willing to take risks like make movies about a bunch of less than C-list characters and turn them into financial hits, they might not be so lucky with Wolverine or Deadpool, which are A-list. These characters and others like them that walk the line of good and bad don't quite fit with the majority of the MCU heroes. Disney cares about money, and if they can sell a film for a younger audience they will but at the cost of character portrayals. You're not going to have Deadpool swear and curse every ten seconds, bloody Wolverine hands, and decapitations from X-23 in a Disney produced Marvel film. Why? Because you don't see it in their other films in the MCU despite some characters being very capable of doing that in the comics. I would be very surprised if they did. I'm not advocating that if/when Marvel gets the rights back that they're going to make Wolverine, Deadpool and other violent X-Men &/or Fantastic Four characters that way. In fact, after the successes of Logan and Deadpool, I highly doubt that lightning is going to strike twice in that particular regard. There was a unique set of circumstances for each of them. Ryan Reynolds had been pushing for a Deadpool film for a long time and once the test footage was leaked and received a massive upsurge of popularity it was a sure thing. Logan was the final movie for Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart as their respective characters in the X-Men series that had been going on for a decade and a half to the point where Jackman has made the character his own; so a final movie that has them give it their all for one final hurrah had to be a success. Anything less would be a disappointment. Fifth: "If Marvel waters down the X-Men characters the professional film critics will let the executives know how terrilbe the film was for them and most critics don't even read comics." What? Yeah, I get what you mean. The X-Men universe has a really messed up timeline. But if we did get a reboot, I kinda hope that we get Hugh Jackman back, even though its close to impossible. Maybe they could make it so that Logan (Wolverine) already exists in the MCU but he was kept hidden by Shield with the help of Nick Fury. And that the events of Infinity War begin to introduce the mutant gene into people more often, meaning it had already existed but very rarely. This would mean the X-Men would exist a little later, but Marvel could definitely pull that off. Also, what if the old avengers tower turned into the Fantastic Four tower or it could turn into OsCorp. like in the comics, and Miles Morales went in there and he got bitten by one of the spiders, turning him into another Spider-Man, because we know that Miles already exists thanks to the interrogation scene in homecoming.

So Logan's consciousness did go back in time, but he snapped back to present day at the end. So he only experienced a few hours or days maybe extra, not fifty years. His consciousness back in the 70s or whatever went back to his original consciousness after the one from the future snapped back. So long story short you're wrong. The one we know is physically 197 but the six extra years from the transference of both minds (so original mind switched to alternate timeline and vice-versa). In X-Men: First Class, Beast mentioned that Mystique ages at half of the rate of any normal human. And then he worked with a sample of her DNA to create a serum to reverse his mutation and hers and when he injected the serum into himself, it backfired. Maybe the serum contained her DNA so he started aging at half of the normal rate from the 60's forward. Would make sense.

In the movie The adverse reaction to an additive which was added to all processed foods. that outright suppress / stopped the mutant Gene. Which caused Charles to have a seizure due to the chemicals within the additive attacking the mutation within his brain resulting in the Westchester incident. Also the would be the cause of the shutdown / slow down of Wolverine's healing Factor. Hence the line there are no more mutants its because of the additive. And the kids are created by samples of DNA taken pre additive of mutants while being fed food straight from the farm no additives. while in the comic it was caused by Wolverine being manipulated into a Berserker rage slaughtered everyone.

First of all the X-Men universe has a really messed up timeline. Maybe they could make it so that Logan (Wolverine) already exists in the MCU but he was kept hidden by Shield with the help of Nick Fury. And that the events of Infinity War begin to introduce the mutant gene into people more often, meaning it had already existed but very rarely. This would mean the X-Men would exist a little later, but Marvel could definitely pull that off. Also, what if the old avengers tower turned into the Fantastic Four tower or it could turn into OsCorp. like in the comics, and Miles Morales went in there and he got bitten by one of the spiders, turning him into another Spider-Man, because we know that Miles already exists thanks to the interrogation scene in homecoming.

TBF a large number of them could have extended lifespans like Wolverine, Angel, Beast, Mystique, Nightcrawler, Deadpool and Quicksilver all have either enhanced healing, metabolism or athleticism which may allow them to age slower or at least be physically active/able despite looking older. But ProfX, Magneto, Storm, Cyclops, Jean and Jubilee are very inconsistent. Colossus, Shadowcat, Iceman and Rogue may not all be the exact same age. But yeah 34 makes sense for them.

Itz Barcz if you actually pay attention closely they mentioned that the main cause of the decline in the human population and Charles and Logan's health problems. Is due to an adjective added to processed foods that suppressed / stop the activation of a mutant Gene. Which is why they were living in Mexico straight from the farm no processing with their food and Logan's refusal to believe Laura was a mutant. But the damage has already been done resulting in Charles's seizures and Logan's metal poisoning and slowed healing Factor. And would most likely mean Deadpool have died due to his cancer not being in check with his regeneration ability.

Quick question... Supposedly Deadpool can't die because of a love triangle between Lady Death and Thanos. Thanos supposedly makes Deadpool immortal so that he couldn't die and be with Lady Death. Mustique ages ultra slow. And Beast took some of her DNA. Lots of mutants age slower, its evolution. Lota of mutants are above average in lots of ways. Like being a little more immune to radiation. In the comics anyways.

Lucifer Stark Mutate not mutant. A mutate is someone who mutated due to outside forces, i.e. Super Soldier Serum, Gamma bomb, radioactive spider, spilt toxic waste, ect... (Deadpool was experimented on through Department K, an off shoot of the Weapons Plus Program. Weapons Plus also created other mutates i.e. Hulk, Wolverine (his skeleton), Isaiah Bradley, and most notably Captain America, among others.) A mutant is, as Lady Gaga once said, "born that way".
