Trust me, you don’t know the half of it. She is truly horrifying in her abilities and powers. For one, she cannot be defeated. Even if you manage to “kill” her, another reincarnation of her will get reborn. The only way to permanently off her to to ERASE THE VERY CONCEPT of control from existence. Her abilities: Mind-control/overpowering human will. She is similar to Killgrave from Marvel, but worse. If she asks you to kill yourself, you will do so. If she asks you to murder your own family, you will be compelled to do it. She can issue as many commands as she wants and has absolutely no cooldown or limitations to that. Now, onto MORE dangerous abilities. “Forcing to do stuff” is scary, but it is just a gimmick when compared to her whole arsenal of abilities. Next one: Explosion. Have you seen “The Boys” head popper. Well, she can do that. But she is not limited to line of vision/field of view. She has Deathnote-like ability, where if she wishes for you to die…. You explode. Likewise, she does not need to know you in the face - name is enough to off you, from any distance. Your body will feel internal pressure comparable of a C4 stuck in your rib cage - unless you are Homelander or more impervious to internal damaged you are toast! Next - control of others (like her). She can manipulate and control other powerful entities with similarly broken abilities.

As for her ressurection and psuedo immortality, it is false immortality and is only limited to the contract she made with the prime minister, trading her life for a person within japan. And the way to off her is not to "erase the very concept of her from existence" it's literally only attacks perceived as attacks, denji negated this viewing his own attack as love and eating her killing her off, say she get crushed by a falling building, she easily gets ko'd from existence then and their ending her PM contract. not only that without the pm contract the control devil is relatively weak, actually no the control devil is actually very weak, it is only powerful via contracts or when it uses its powers to attach to them, or their contracts

I know that when denji killed her it was only her 27th death. A special number and also (fun fact the day of the month I was born, in October. Same month as fujimoto 😌 sorry had to humble brag.) At first I thought that I was a LOT of deaths for her, then I remembered that the earth has existed for an unfathomable amount of years, and only being killed 27 times shows how powerful she really was. I wonder what killed her the other 26 times. Also neat how she mentions she is the only person left who remembered the name of certain devils, like the nazi devil. This is just such an amazing and original story. It’ll go down as one of the best written manga’s of all time. I love every bit of it.

I love this. Makima's actual age tho (spoilers): - Every devil is like its own version of the Avatar from the Last Airbender. A devil dies, a new one representing the same fear is born. The new one does not have the memories of the previous one, being its own individual. The Control Devil is likely as old as humans have feared control, but has died many times, so Makima herself is not that old. - Her physical appearance is no indicator. Nayuta was able to look like a 12-year-old after just a few months or a year, that or she's a fiend who took over a 12-year-old girl's body before having any experiences of its own. - She's not hundreds or thousands of years old. She was raised by a government, presumably the Japanese one since she has a contract with the Japanese Prime Minister and her work as a devil hunter is for/with the Japanese government. - Makima remembers the existence of nuclear weapons, N*zis and WW2 (plus some other stuff) even though nobody else does, except the War Devil who's confirmed they remember what nuclear weapons are. People and most devils don't know what these are either, because the Chainsaw Devil ate their associated devils. It may be that she was alive back when these were a thing, which in combination with her being a strong devil lets her remember them, or at least that things with those names existed even if she can't recall the details. Since the story takes place in 1997, this would make her at least 52 years old.

For those who are saying that "Makima is young", but just know that is is super old and that the manga didn't state that she was raised by the government. Kishibe told Denji that the government would turn Nayuta into something similar to makima (a heartless control monster) and not that the government raised Makima. Makima has existed for a long long time - long enough to witness and participate in the War against Chainsaw Man in hell, where all the 4 horsemen fought up against Pochita. The battle against Pochita vs the Four Hoursmen happened years ago, and Makima outright states that she participated in chapter 87. The claim about the battle happening centuries ago is supported many time in the manga, but an example would be in chapter 118: Yoru didn't recognize Fami when she first saw her since she didn't see her in so long. Here's the direct quote I'm referring to: "I hadn't seen her in so long that I didn't recognize her." Also one more thing is that we know that the weapon *devils* helped the four horsemen. Now that the weapon devil are hearts (became hybrids), we can try to figure out when the battle ended. Whip hybrid has been a hybrid for 82 years - This tells us that the battle ended 82 years ago. BUT, we know that Quanxi is supposedly the first Devil Hunter, meaning that she has been a hybrid for an even longer time than whip devil (devils have existed ever since the first human, meaning that devil hunters have been around for a while. Quanxi being the first devil hunter alludes to her being at the very least 200+ years old.) Point is that the battle happened a while ago, and Makima is even older than when the battle began (obviously since she participated in the battle).
