BTW, the deepseek AI only is censored on the online version (the servers hosting it are in China and have to follow Chinese regulations), if you download the open source model itself (you can install the whole model for free and run it offline on your own PC) it is uncensored and can answer the questions

Open ai actually loses money hand over fist due to things like data storage centers and costs, costs of the (now we know) overly expensive hardware they were using, development costs, and ESPECIALLY electrical energy to power their systems (the size of entire countries). $3.7 billion in subscriptions is really small beans compared to the massive maintenance costs. The company was essentially kept on life support by investors thinking theyll come up with a way to monetize it one day Then Deepseek comes around, and proves to everyone that Openai was operating in a way that was MASSIVELY inefficient
