Alternatively, it's possible that Nika just holds different significance to different cultures. Like, if he's both a warrior god and a sun god, it makes sense that a society that values combat as much of the giants could either discard or even forget his connection to the sun. Meanwhile cultures like the Fishmen that desire freedom and to live on the surface could end up remembering the sun aspect and losing the warrior one. He is a god of the sun, of warriors, of joy, and of freedom, so it's not too far fetched that a culture that values one of those things more than the others would latch onto the one that means the most to them.

Dorry and Brogy didn't get a power boost. This is powerscaler propaganda. Dorry and Brogy said 'only the serpent soaked in blood can resist our attack', and then they destroyed an island sized fish. Insane attack power. Zoro could not cut the wax. Meaning that the wax was as hard as steel. Brogy snapped a chunk of that wax the size of an elephant by flexing his wrist. Nobody breaks steel without haki. Nobody except giants. Well, unless they poison the wax first... ? The reason Luffy beat Hajrudin so easily is that giants don't have haki hardening. The reason for this is unknown but I'd say it has something to do with their belief in predestiny. That everything will happen as God intends. It sort of takes the individual's will out of the equation. Interestingly, it is only after Brogy questions his fate, that he is then able to break the wax.

Well also Hajrudin was just arrogant; its stated as a flaw in his vivre card and alluded to in Dressrosa, and his victory against Machvise is a restoration of his pride for much deeper purposes as his gratitude is worth more, as he proclaims; now all that's left is for Dorry and Brogy to possibly die or be hobbled to make way for Hajrudins ascent/shared character arc with Usopp beneath the god veneer. Or at least that's been my hope.
