We appreciate all the fine editing that goes into your videos. I'm sure it takes a lot of time to edit all those clips together. But it certainly pays off as it gives us that immersive experience of all that is going on.

In Norway it is no kipper season when we have weather with minus 20 C and snow storms. On 17 January only cars could drive in Oslo. Buses, trams and trains had big problems. Even the tube and airport had to close for some hours. Bad weather is always good for business.
@Markstaxidiaries11 ай бұрын
Interesting! The cold weather drives customers your way. What type of vehicles are you driving there if I may ask?
@mfurmyr11 ай бұрын
In Norway we drive all kinds of cars. It is everything from Nissan Leaf to Mercedes EQS. By 1. November of 2024 all taxis in Oslo must be pure electric. Outside Oslo it is 2027. Now I drive a Kia Niro EV. 40 000 GBP new. In the summer I can drive around 310 Miles on one charge. 200 Miles when it is minus 15 C. My electricity bill is around 2-3% of my turnover. My Fourth electric car. In Oslo we have bigger cars that drive wheelchair customers.

14:37 🎶 "strangers in the night" ... my late mother's favorite song. Just curious... did the police ever catch the miscreant who broke into your cab and stole your green badge ? And, what would you consider to be the best 3 hotels in London ?
@Markstaxidiaries11 ай бұрын
Well spotted Sir! Never had anything recovered from the break in, worst of all was the loss of the badge of course 67475. Top 3 hotels! Well I’m told the Peninsula at Hyde park corner trumps all the 5 *plus at the moment. Then I’d say Dukes hotel St James, best small hotel. And another new kid on block is The other house on Harrington gardens is giving good value and service

Hi mark just found your channel and I’m addicted. In your opinion as an 38 y/o would you say it’s work taking part in the knowledges. Something I’ve always been interested in but have always been happy in current role. Are taxis being phased out or do we in your opinion have 20 plus years left ?
@Markstaxidiaries7 ай бұрын
First of all thanks for watching! Black taxis will always be a part of London’s transport fabric. The taxi themselves may change and be upgraded but the iconic image will always remain. 🙌

Hi John! Thanks for watching. Yes I may well be slowing down some of the routes something that has been mentioned to me already. Trouble is the video may be a lot longer. The speeded up voice is to protect the privacy of the passengers. Hope you’re well

I don't get this .. I know your still a Butter Boy, But telling other cabbies etc which Ranks Move quickly, and are Busy, is Unbelievable ... also telling them which Taxi 'Apps' give out lots of work .. again, Unbelievable ..... The 1st rule, after getting that Green thing around your Neck, is KEEP SCHTUM .... Dont start moaning when Hammersmith Rank becomes Overflowing ( After you Publicised it ) and your 2 Fav apps, give out less work to you, ( As spread over to more Drivers you've just encouraged ) .. If you had a Shop selling Kettles . Would you tell your Customers to go to Argos, as they're cheaper than you ..... The Mind Boggles ... Your Editing etc is to be complimented tho , Don't take any Wooden Nickles !

First of all thanks for watching! I’m definitely not a butter boy, have been out for 20 years. I’m not an ‘in it for myself’ type of cabbie I guess, if ranks are good and moving then we need to provide a service to the pubic. For me it’s about working together for work not fighting each other for it. Never heard of the Keep Schtum rule, that wasn’t mentioned in my leaving talk at the PCO. As for the apts you’ll now how busy they are if you work them regularly I guess. Be lucky!
