Same problem in Gran Turismo 7 and Sim Racing games, the ones who exploit/cheat/drive-dirty get into the videos of the big guys, which gives them notoriety and then encourages and emboldens them to continue their bad behaviour. This video really does a perfect job of explaining everything simply, I also like that you brought the 2 touch to light, which surprisingly nobody knows about. What was really keeping him from suspicion was how close his unaware friends and teammates were with him in general, but I think I should have been thinking something was up when he would almost exclusively play doubles with one teammate, who was probably one of the only people in on it. It was interesting to see how a single player could raise montage standards so sharply like that, and it was kinda demotivating seeing someone just fly away with the skill ceiling. There was a time where people kinda just didn't reverse cam or nocam on shots because it was boring compared to what he did.

You know even tho what he did was unethical it is quite impressive. I wished he’d just come out and said that these were edits and not said it was real, because the clips are still sick. And I bet there would be someone that can recreate them one day.

I am not a current rl player and i dont watch sunless all that often, once every 3 months i come back and binge his vids when bored and drunk....i dont even like sunless that much except for his editing skills, but u gotta admit...not revealing Jimmy's name was an awesome move man....Kudos....imagine being a good 38 year old person playing a 12 year old kids game and coming out morally righteous.

MSM and media in general don't care, they're using the name for bait. They don't make solid content, they make content to fill pages up and put ads and make revenue. That's it.

I would like to make a small note, TAS is *not* AI, it is completely different. Basically, TAS allows players to play in slowmotion, reverse time, etc to get the perfect inputs to do crazy things, but it still takes a lot of time and effort for the person making the TAS to do, and they still need the technical skills and knowledge to do the tricks in the first place
@DigitalJedi2 жыл бұрын
You can actually use an AI TAS. In other games such as Track Mania, you can use a brute-force approach where the algorithm constantly tweaks inputs to get a faster and faster time on a track. This same concept can be applied in RL, where a computer would constantly try new variations of inputs to generate a shot with more power, closer to a specified target, ect. This is where the AI part comes in. If you treat each set of variations of the same input set as a "generation" you can then pick the best of that set and then make another "generation" based on that. Rinse and repeat until your genetic algorithm has created the best (or at least a local maximum) version of the solutions to your parameters.
@adicsbtw2 жыл бұрын
@@DigitalJedi I never said you can't use AI in Tas, just that Tas doesn't inherently mean AI. And, even in the case of games where AI is applied in some way, humans still do a lot of the work themselves
@jysper22042 жыл бұрын
I love the way you make these videos into a small documentary!! Keep it up Sunless!
@LeCrown2 жыл бұрын
Great video as always. Just one thing I wanted to add: TAS has (afaik) nothing to do with AI. You perform all the moves yourself but in slow motion and stitch the best parts together for a "perfect" run.
