So often the new cannot come in when there is no room. The old has to go... But the unknown is so scary. You are fortunate you have been able to travel as much as you have been. So many wonderful experiences I have a passion... My photography is my passion. I really want to do this and it to be successful so I can quit my job as a nurse. I'm more than over it. I need to somehow overcome my money blocks.... And to fully believe in my worth. And to not care what others think.

I hear you! It was the same for me - I loved travel and running my blog (I didn't have KZbin at the time) but felt like I couldn't quit my job because I wasn't making any money from my blog. I spent years saving up, scrimping and pulling together every dollar possible. I cut my whole life right back, stripping all my expenses down to the bare minimum. I managed to take a little bit of paid leave from my job, I moved back in with my parents and figured I'd just try... just give it as long as I could to see if I could make it work. It sort of did but it was really hard. I think I got down to my last $3,000 in the bank and I was just about to give up and get a 'normal' job again when I got a really good paying job offer! It kept me afloat until the next one came along and then the next one and then the next one. I worry sometimes that content creators make it look so easy and glamorous but it's not! Or at least it's not for me. It's so scary sometimes, you don't know if you're going to get paid or where your next paycheck is even coming from! But somehow, it just works. The secret is just to never give up :)

You did it, Phoebe. Your old life is behind you. To get here, you had to lose your sense of direction and your comfort zone. You lost a relationship and I’m sure some other friends. I imagine some people in your life may no longer like you and they may still not understand. But, as you now truly understand, “it doesn’t matter.” This video showed your journey into the person you were meant to be. You’ve met new people and new friends. You’ve discovered your new comfort zones and the things that fill your heart with joy. Instead of liking yourself, you now truly love yourself. Instead of thinking you understand yourself, you now truly see yourself. All you lost was a life built for someone else. But what you gained is this life built for *you*. Travel for Phoebe is the perfect title. Yeah, this travel vlog showed you traveling to some amazing places this year. But none of those places were as amazing as the travel you took through your heart and soul. You may have discovered some great places on this planet during your travels. But none were as beautiful as what you discovered in your heart: Who Phoebe is truly meant to be. I admire you, Phoebe. Not many make this journey. It’s so hard and can be so painful. I know of no one who has the talent, skill, courage, and bravery like you to film it and share it with the whole world. We so look forward to your coming travels and videos. Hard from a practical point of going through all of videos to find just the right moments (even saw some new clips in there!) but fun to revisit your incredible journeys. I really liked many of the transitions between shots (especially the falling camera into making it look like you simply picked it up-well done!). Your editing skills are so beyond! ahhhh Rob :) Thank you for noticing every little detail and all the work that went into this video (and the whole journey too, I suppose!) Honestly, I had an intense emotional experience once I finished editing this. It was like I could finally see how far I've come and how much I've changed. I felt ready to let it all go. Everything. My whole life, not just the past year! I started crying and didn't stop for about two hours - it was one of the most powerful moments of my whole life :) I purged everything out of my soul, let go of it all. Shed a life! I'm ready now to step into my new life and discover what that is :)

I enjoy traveling so much more than my close circle of family and friends. I want to travel to more places this year but I'm scared of traveling solo. I can imagine it would be so freeing but I have yet to take that first step and book my first solo adventure. for someone who desperately would love to travel more and not feel held back by the lack of participation or enthusiasm of others what are a couple destinations that you feel are safe and easy to navigate for first timers? Because you're right. I deserve to be happy. 😊

I love this for you! You should definitely do some solo adventures - it will change your life :) Singapore is a great place to start because it's SO safe. I walk around late at night, in the dark, by myself with my headphones on haha it's liberating! It's the perfect place to have some authentic cultural experiences, eat good food, explore by yourself and do it all super safe :) great for building confidence! I also felt very safe in Dubai :)

Hi Phoebe! What a year is has been, all the things you’ve gone through and still you managed to catch up and go on solo travel. Luckily I didn’t have to go through a divorce like you, but I have been solo traveling as well and that’s where we find each other! I’ve been to London, Venice, Cabo Verde and Jamaica all by myself and to Australia with a friend. Solo travel makes you stronger, more confident. And in the end I actually felt sad and I felt a form of emptiness when I left Jamaica. Mostly because I met so much beautiful people, they give me so much love 🫶 and I know what I was leaving behind and that I most likely would never meet these amazing people again in life. I’ve got the feeling that my solo travels catch me more in my emotional field than the travel I do together with a friend. I think that’s because when I travel with a friend, we do things together and I know we’re gonna see and do things in the future again, and when solo traveling I know that contacts are mostly temporary, just when I’m there 🥹. Although I still have some contacts via Instagram and Facebook, but it’s not a real life connection. What a beautiful reflection you made with this video, up to more solo traveling in 2024 🤙
