If Palpatine hadn't been around the Republic would have torn itself apart anyway, with no Imperial military to hold the rotting corpse together. By the end of Rise of Skywalker the galaxy has comprehensively rejected the New Republic, the First Order and all forms of interstellar government in favour of widespread isolationism.

it isnt that bad the actors needed more help filling out their roles. i wish Lucas would've found someone more experienced than Hayden but i cant imagine the prequel trilogy without him

Questions. How much of this plan did Sideous' master, Plagueis participate in? When exactly did the Neimoidians (Gunray) become aware that Palpatine and Sideous were one and the same? Did Sideous use his Sith mind powers to sway the plans, or was all this done by sheer diplomacy and deceptive planning? Thanks.
