Yikes! I was an only child that had three kids, all boys. I treated them equally and forced my mom to treat them equally with the threat of being completely cut out of our lives. They’re adults and I have them as beneficiaries getting equal amounts of my life insurance and give them the same amount of money for Xmas and birthdays

He's on the laptop for three hours and now I want to upload my photos off my camera because I think I got a bird in flight? No, it's his priority. In my culture I’m seen as a useless little child who needs help and protection all the time, it’s so annoying. I started kayaking at twelve while my older brother started at nine, and after begging my parents to let me get in I had to be at least 10 meters away and when I sped by they got scared.

I love how this really nails how the parents are being grossly neglectful of all their children in three completely different ways, and also in a way that makes the middle and oldest mad at both each other, and also the youngest-who will be mad back in response. I was the youngest and had an older brother with no middle child and a completely different family dynamic from this. I knew about this kind of dynamic, but I never really fully grasped it until now. I know this was intended to be funny, but I also really appreciate it for this perspective change. And also...makes me really sad and angry for kids like this.
