"Henceforth, you shall be known as Darth... Sidious." -Darth Plagueis.
@mikeor-4 жыл бұрын
@Laith Rajha A recent fact I discovered was this: Sidious only named Darth Vader. Dooku was never officially known as Darth Tyranus (as only the Emperor calls him that) and Maul's original name was Maul. Therefore, the only time Sidious declared a dark lord was at the end of Episode III, when he says to Anakin: "Henceforth, you shall be known as Darth... Vader."
@mikeor-4 жыл бұрын
@Laith Rajha Darth is what makes someone a Sith Lord, because that title comes from Daritha, meaning "Lord."
@mikeor-4 жыл бұрын
@Laith Rajha Because they all end in s? That's nice, but I don't think Darth Vectivus is canon, and to tell the truth, I don't want it to be. I want the Sith to stay evil.
@mikeor-4 жыл бұрын
@Laith Rajha The Dark Side is not embracing your emotions. The Dark Side is only seeking unlimited power until your quest for power makes your nature destructive. THAT is why the Sith are evil. Darth Vectivus didn't seek power through the suffering of others, like other Sith, making him basically a Jedi, and that will ruin the idea established in the OT, which is why I'm grateful he's not Canon.
@inst4rmin.x4_onYT4 жыл бұрын
@@mikeor- if only the Emperor calls Dooku by Tyranus, doesn't that mean he got that name from the master just like Anakin/Vader..? 🤨 Obviously the Jedi aren't gonna call him that, because to them he's still that former Jedi and they don't really want to acknowledge the return (or continued existence) of the Sith 🤷🏻♂️

That's epic! The author of the Plagueis novels captured the sith PERFECTLY! They aren't written as those who are "evil;" rather, they are written as those who view the galaxy differently from the norm. Insidiously, yes; but, also educated and very aware of the galaxy's larger aspects and miscellaneous components. Arguably, they are more aware than even the Jedi. And THAT is how the Sith SHOULD be written as. Not as a black and white, good vs bad blandness; rather, as someone/something that *can* be argued both for *and* against.

i'd like to hear the argument in favor of chopping up a bunch of children with a lightsaber, i really would. "i ruthlessly slaughtered multiple children as they screamed and cried in terror because i view the galaxy differently."
@moonlight88635 жыл бұрын
@@figjam9530 my take would be as follows; try comparing it to the romanovs. The bolsheviks didnt only kill the tsar and his wife but five innocent children. Why? Because when they grow up they could pose a threat to the soviet regime (other monarchs and some of the people would try to see them restored to power). You can translate that to palpatines plan who gave anakin the order to kill the children ( im sure he had other motivations too). I still think its a horrible act to do but im sad to say that i can kinda understand where they were coming from, prob. wouldve wanted to be sure theres no surprises in a few years aswell if i was in their position (talking both star wars and RL). I still think its horrible to do or order something like that though.

Due to the rule of 2, the Sith have a strong and easily trackable lineage. Like looking back hundreds of generations at all your anscestors, but instead of a mother and father and grandparents on each side, turning into an expansive web.. it's just the 1 person directly above you and those directly above them, turning into a direct line. It's an intimate relationship, one where you know the names of all your predecessors, and share almost all of the same knowledge. So in saying I am all Sith, he's essentially referring to this fact, and to the fact that everything all those Sith have worked towards, manifested in him. The Sith worked for millennia to rule the galaxy, and they accomplished this through Palpatine.

I want to see a story of Palpatine. It would be interesting to see his interaction with Mace Windu, Qui gon and Yoda as he is gaining power and skill in the force and secretly researching sith lore and gaining power on Naboo and influence in the galactic center. We only see palpatine using his powerful force lightning and some of his red sabre skill. It would be cool seeing him go against Mace Windu when Palpatine is in his prime and Windu is in his youth.

That is how sith apprentices become masters. The master expects the apprentice to always attempt to kill them. This allowed Maul, and Tyrannus to serve Sideous, and never be able to usurp him.

I have a theory that in learning how to use the Force to create life, Plagueis actually created a life form. And so did Sidious. Sidious created a human in the belly of a slave on the out-skirts of the galaxy where the Jedi would not find him, with the intention of coming for him later and training him as a living weapon. But the Force stepped in and showed the Jedi to the boy, who brought him back and both paved the way for his path to the dark side but ultimately his redemption from it. That boy was Anakin, who, with the Force for one of his parents, had a midichlorian count almost of a level of Yoda's naturally. But there was another infant born. Plagueis had been successful as well. He truly was wise and chose a species in which a high Force-sensitivity was notorious. He also placed the Child in a remote planet (what's with Star Wars villians and hiding things on desert planets, aye?) under heavy guard, knowing the potential within this being. He had been primarily an experiment, but he'd be valuable to the wrong people. Sidious knew about this other force-baby, but would remain unable to collect this resource. Again, the Force steps in and sends a Mandalorian to show the Child a way other than the Dark Side. Fun Fact: Anakin and the Child are born the same year. I wasn't aware of this when I first supposed this theory.

It's interesting that Plagueis's own technique against his family, tricking them into thinking they could cheat death, eventually became his own fear, obsession, and downfall. It reminds me of the Bible passage that says "those who live by the sword will die by the sword." In other words, those who embrace violence, deceit, manipulation, and control as ways of life will often find themselves beaten by the next person who comes along who is better at those things. That's the way of the Sith, of course, but it's fascinating that Plagueis early on set the pattern of his own life: a pattern that would, naturally, lead him to destruction.

How?
@vincent30604 жыл бұрын
@@anna-ob3qs Because for thousands of years the Jedi Order ignored the threat of the dark side of the force. They became arrogant and overly confident in their ability to use the light side of the force to sense the future in order to control the density of the Galaxy, their ego was out of control, but Palpatine showed them the error of their ways. He is the one that started the chain reaction that lead to balance, like a butterfly effect, everything that happens, happens for a reason. You see padawan learner, power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The true villains of the story were the Jedi Orda. They steal Children from their Families and force them to train day in and day out so that they may become Jedi Soldiers for the Jedi Council's beck and call, to fulfill their agenda, which is to always stay at the top of their Mount Olympus, while they look down on everyone who isn't them. Have you ever asked yourself, why does the Jedi Council live in high society luxuries high tech buildings while the majority of the population lives as peasants from paycheck to paycheck, while these self righteous self proclaimed aristocrats have unlimited money and the funding to buy anything they want? Sure Palpatine is wrong in his philosophies and his tyrannical ambitions, but if you step back and look at the BIG picture, he only wants what the Jedi have, which is power, influence over all Governments, and the respect of all the inhabitants of the Galaxy. So in the end, it was never good vs evil. It was honest Sith evil vs deceptive Jedi evil. Remember the force is like one coin with 2 sides, like a battery, it has both negative and positive energy in it. Destroying the dark side of the force is impossible, for you cannot have light without darkness, nor can you recognize good without evil, the darkness is a necessary evil. So to bring balance to the force does not mean to eradicate evil or good, it is merely to even the distribution of power on both sides of the scale. And if you don't believe me, then watch and learn the true meaning of evil. I think sidious is a prime example of the ideal sith apprentice. He had the 1 trait all the best sith lords had in common, before becoming sith. A true pure love of power more then anything else. That is the true anchor that will bind someone forever to the dark side. Plagueis didn't need to temp him to kill his family he'd eventually did it on his own at some point, because they kept getting in his way. Plus their existence meant he'd have to share his family's wealth and power with them. Theres no way he'd tolerate that long. We often put the sith and jedi in a bottle of being different, but really all living beings have a force alignment even if they cant use the force. Palpatine was already dark side aligned, he wasnt turned he was awakened, he was always sidous now he could embrace that truth and not hide it.
