Im getting some stellaris vibes from the specialists and the town focuses. Its a finer detail that will fit good in civ i reckon.

I dont like all the sort of micro that goes with towns, but i like the idea of it. What i find is that with this micro its easier for players to exploit. But i wont judge it until i try it tbh. But i agree that both tall and wide play should be viable, i like this move by civ 7.

What micro are you referring to?
@pointsniper2785 күн бұрын
In what I have seen so far, towns reduce micro in a few ways. No production queue, no workers, and no citizens. Both the specialists and districts are accessed on the same screen, thus reducing micro. When you make a new districts (urban or rural) you can change your specialists accordingly

@@pointsniper278 Like I get what you mean in some elements reducing micro, e.g. less cities, no workers etc, but I don't like the idea of having these towns specialize and having to pick that, I feel like it will just build with more towns.

The way I play both Civ 5 and 6 is that cities maybe besides the capital have to specialize. For example, in civ 5 i build my art, music, and archeological museum in different cities. In civ 6 you cant build all districts in one city bc of population limits. Personally, I like the idea of specializing. I forces players to think about rhe purpose of a city should be. This could bc of resources or proximity to other players @thegorb2653

and as someone who played epic and marathoni played mostly both wide and tall--- so all i loved about civ is taken aw3ay now i felt 6 was best balanced at epic.. but i still doubt very much if this game 7 is worth the money for me.. for others this could be very different

More people want to play tall because they are sick of the eight years of spam.

Bruh I don’t know if it’s just me but the UI is just really boring I really hope it changes…

Is it really playing tall when you still have to spam towns? Sounds like playing wide to me.

maybe i am a minority but i rather like micro management in city`s giving units individual promotions. tocreate a versetile army.. but.. ok maybe i am a dying race lol and 7 will probably its own set of challenges and ways to play to discover...

too bad you can't play the same civ throughout the ages, makes it all meaningless tbh, I will be passing on this one for sure.
