you forgot to mention the fact that the first episode of Pokemon the American audience saw was not the "I Choose You" one, but the SS Anne one where they asked at the end how did Ash and co. and Team Rocket ended up in the SS Anne in the first place, so they have to watch the first 20 or something episodes before that, and that helped the promotion of Pokemon in the Western world.

@@jh_dances2221 FMA was around since 2001 and it has sold over 70 million copies worldwide and many other merchandise.However he's not even on the list ,same thing for Attack on Titan who is going 10 this year. As for DB and Pokemon :Star Wars was around since the 70's but pokemon came 20 years later and still it surpassed . MHA is pretty popular but consider the already established popularity of One Piece,the rise up of DB ,it won't go anywhere my friend.
