I`m glad that Poland is an inspiration for an artist :), I hope there will be even more of you. We have "something" for everyone and if you are a "sensitive soul" you will feel more, because the soil here is mixed with the blood of many innocent people. You can feel the pain in the air, it is like a fog that never goes down. There is nothing to be afraid of, you can only accept death and be grateful for what you have and for how long. Life is a journey and Poland is a magical place, literally and figuratively.

As a Christian i feel uneasy about voodoo. We Polish are very much catholic and we believe in Christian God. I don’t like how you talk about woman as props. Poles switched sides in Haiti to help the locals, because they saw themselves in Haitian people: oppression, colonization, forced “integration”, exploitation. We’ve been constantly attacked from left and right , we constantly had to fight wars, we barely ever had piece through our history…

I am Polish and I enjoy your positive emotions about Poles and Poland, but for the sake of loving the truth, I can't not mention that actually British are the nation who fought slavery and ended it up, at least as legal thing.

I feel you. But what the guest is referring to is the Haiti revolution where Poles were brought in by Napoleon, they realized what was going on, and they switched sides

But Polish soldiers sent to Haiti actually stood by the Haitan peoples' side during the conflict.

It is truly amazing that you can have no knowledge of the place where you live and make the whole podcast about it. Both the host and the guest moved to Poland but they don't have nay idea about this country. Why have you decided to make a podcast? To show your ignorence? Some people might see it be missinformed

What makes you think we have no knowledge? It’s a free country, everyone is entitled to do what they want. Dont bring your hate here please 🙏🏽 If you are not gonna add anything useful to the conversation, kindly move on. We are here to learn from each other.

watch the full episode and then you can decide whether they're ignorant. For one I think many Poles don't even know our troops helped Haiti (we were there to fight for the other side, but when Poles realised there's slavery they immediately switched sides; some even stayed there). I found out this year, I'm fourty and had incredibly extended history class and had no idea this happened.

No, the "Black Maddona" was black from the beginning. It's in the medieval Polish songs.
