I started with Power Rangers with the Disney era with Ninja Storm,Dino Thunder, and S.P.D! During my teenage years I rewatched them on Netflix and watched RPM and WildForce as well which became my new favorites. Then on Freevee I watched Super Sentai DaiRanger! Now I'm a Super Sentai Fan! But I will always be a Power Rangers Fan! My favorite Rangers are:White Dino Thunder Ranger,Black Dino Thunder Ranger,Gold RPM Ranger,Green Sameria Ranger,Wolf Wild Force Ranger, and Shadow Ranger.

Who would've thought that a kid's show that I was exposed to so early in my life would have had such a positive impact on me, and so many others! It's not that I don't love the Supermans and Batmans of the world, but whenever I mention that I'm a true team player at a job interview, in the back of my mind I think, "because of the Power Rangers!"

MMPR gave me my “sister”. She is a very dear friend (funnily enough we share the same birthday) that I met in MMA in college. We needed up growing a deep friendship with a mutual love of all things power rangers and have even been to a few cons together meeting many of them (especially JDF). I now proudly carry a green and white ranger tattoo with me everyday on my leg. This show is and will always be a legend and an icon.

As a kid I was inspired to get into karate class because of watching the Power Rangers. And even now as an adult I've watched it with my daughter and I can still relate as an adult. I'm a pro second amendment American and the Power Rangers song has a line that says "THEY KNOW TO ONLY USE THEIR WEAPONS FOR DEFENSE". Makes for a great gun safe sticker.

This has and always be my favorite franchise (even the really bad seasons). Jason, Trini, Zack, Kim, Billy and especially Tommy encouraged and inspired me to be a protector in my own way. This show is a huge reason why I enlisted into the Army at the age of 17, and why I am in my current career as a LEO.

I was 4 when MMPR premiered. But I still remember watching it with my older brother, who was 7 at the time. I remember I got in trouble for renting the movie too much at Blockbuster lol. But basically, because of that movie I had to sky dive, even though I am scared of heights. But it was something I had to do! But I loved how empowered this show made me feel, and the importance of teamwork! This show really made me feel like anyone could be a hero or do something heroic. Also, that it was cool to do something for others or our communities. The OGs always did stuff like clean the park, or volunteering! Loved the Once and Always special too!!

Power Rangers was my escape as a kid. i had a pretty crappy home life growing up and watching power rangers was the thing that gave me something better to focus on. i had (still have) pretty much every MMPR toy that was made up till lost galaxy when i stopped watching Power Rangers religiously. as a kid i would be outside "fighting" putties for hours. there was a tree in my yard that was kind of hollowed out and i use to get in it and pretend that it was the Megazord. i may not watch the show now, but even at 34 years old i will rewatch the OGs anytime anyplace and enjoy it as if i was still a kid. just last year i was in walmart and as i was passing the DVD rack in the center isle and a random MMPR season 1-3 box set caught my eye and i ran over and snatched the only one that was there. i already have the 25 anniversary double box set that has seasons 1-3 and 4-7, but since i didnt want to open the 25 anniversary box set i justified getting this one so i could open it. my only problem now is i need to find another season 4-7 box set so i can open and watch those. lol ive even finally watched the Super Sentai Zyuranger series and absolutely love it as well. obviously, the Japanese storyline is much more involved than ours so i got hooked very quickly into it. i believe SHOUT has the Zyuranger dvd set and i also want to get it.

Hello there Sixth Ranger. I just wanted to say thank you so much for this new video. I have to admit that this video was very interesting and absolutely amazing. As a fan of this great franchise, l knew some of the things that Power Rangers helped promote or raise awareness of. Nevertheless, I really didn't realize how much of a major impact that the Power Rangers franchise had on the world. Of course that was when I was a young lad and after watching this, I do realize that it does have a major impact on the world and my life, myself. I mean thanks to the Power Rangers franchise, I did learn the meaning of working together, joy of martial arts and a few science related things. Anyways thanks again for this wonderful video and I hope that you have a wonderful day. Can't wait to see more Power Rangers related videos from you soon . So until then, "Peace out and May the Power Protect you too."

Fun fact: Before Haim Saban got idea to adapt sentai Stan Lee (yes that Stan Lee) had that idea as well but it was shot down. As far as what PR offered to me goes it was PR that introduced me to world of tokusatsu in large with it later on guiding me to watch super sentai and eventually learn about Kamen Rider and Ultraman as well. While I know that I am going to get some hate from this nostalgia aside over all I think that MMPR hasn't aged that well and later series have been much better than it in several aspects.

Personally, I didn't see PR till halfway through Turbo. I was always excluded from my classmates (like always picked last during gym class). They would only let me play with them if I played the monster every time. I will say PR is very important for the entertainment history. It first aired during the last 10yrs of FOX KIDS. During this time PR helped 3 people get their start to stardom. Amy Jo Johnson as Kimberly (the 1st MM Pink Ranger), Archie Kao as Kai Chen (the Lost Galaxy Blue Ranger who would later play Archie on CSI), and Haim Saban's stepdaughter Tifanie Christun as Biyomon and Yolie Inoue (Digimon Adv 01 and 02 and was also a crew member for PR seasons). Then PR was sold to Disney along with Marvel & Saban Entertainment and FOX Family became ABC Family. At the same time 4Kids bought the rights to air kids shows on Fox (Fox Box and later 4KIDS TV). For the next 7 years, Disney would continue the PR legacy until Saban bought back PR and Digimon as Saban Brands and aired them on Nickelodeon channels for the next 8 years. Eventually, Bandi stopped making PR toy forcing Saban to sell the rights to Hasbro, but he still makes the series. Eventually. Hasbro/Saban started airing PR on Netflix.

Some parents complained the show was too violent and not educational enough. When the franchise was owned by Disney, some ABC affiliate stations had refused to air Power Rangers. This is also one of the reasons Disney canceled Power Rangers in 2009. Power Rangers RPM was the last Disney season

Another Great Video Jake!! Power Rangers is to me what I imagine Star Wars is to many people. I started with Operation Overdrive, and Power Rangers helped me believe I could overcome overwhelming odds. Eventually, when I was 11, after having watched Jungle Fury, RPM and Samurai, I started going back to previous seasons like Dino Thunder, Mystic Force, Ninja Storm, SPD, In Space etc., all of it. And when I watched MMPRs at around 13 or 14, I felt a connection to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers that I don't think I felt with the majority of the teams after it. There was a sense of warmth and charm and it was amazing, and bond the Rangers had felt very wholesome. I kind of just wanted to jump in and hang out with them. And so the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers became not just one of my favourite Power Ranger Teams, but one of my all-time favourite Superhero Teams alongside the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Avengers, The Fantastic Four and the X-Men.

Power Rangers was my very first "fanboy" experience. I was an absolute fanatic about it for years, making my mom live-record all the episodes on VHS and practically cornering the market on merchandise. I was also super into gymnastics from ages 5-17, and while I don't remember if my interest in it or Power Rangers came first, there was definitely a ton of overlap. Although interest in the franchise gradually faded as I moved through my teenage years, I completely agree that it had a lasting impact on my life: Without Power Rangers, I might never have had (in alphabetical, not chronological, order); Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Chronicles of Narnia, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, the MCU, Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog, The Lord of the Rings (and Tolkien more broadly), Teen Titans, and who knows how many other franchises. Over the past decade I've really gotten into Power Rangers fanart on social media, and have even talked about them in my blog posts. I've also been doing Krav Maga for several years, and while I didn't think of it as a Power Rangers connection, it would be very suitable indeed :)

I’m not sure I can pick something that resonates a ton with me like you can as I think I was doing martial arts before MMPR, however I can definitely say that the teamwork aspect which I enjoy from X-men was a reason for me to keep coming back and watching plus I love the anti-hero (not sure if that’s the right usage) that Tommy represented and seeing his arc so flushed out.

I also broke my nephew's collar bone years later, us watching I think the 3rd episode of Power Rangers on VHS where they lost their powers and did the "human chain" move... me and my nephew tried to copy that where he sat on my shoulders and we spun around. Lost my balance and fell, our combine weight hitting his shoulder.

One of my favourite "complaints" about MMPR is the country (I forget which) who banned it because...I kid you not...the government thought it'd inspire kids to take morphine Edit: my favourite memory is actually sort of recent. I still remember running home to watch it, and when I met Bulk and Skull at a comic-con a few years ago I mentioned it made me feel old and Skull said "How old do you think *we* feel knowing it was 25 years ago?"

While I was already introduced to the 1st season of Mighty Morphin somewhere between 1994-1995 in my country (I was still a very young kid at that point in time), it wasn't until the early 2000's (in my 4th grade) that my interest on the show actually grew once I saw Power Rangers IN SPACE. Looking back, I began to remember how awesome In Space actually was, and I also really enjoyed the Post-Zordon Era series, especially upon being reminded of the heroic gigachad that was Carter Grayson. Even though Power Rangers did not inspire me to learn martial arts, nor did I ever care about their educational preachings, the series did contribute into making me a mecha fan because I almost always enjoyed watching the Zord battles in the show. Later on, the fact that my interest on the show originally grew because of In Space made me realize that Power Rangers also had somewhat of a contribution on developing my knowledge in fiction writing. It is not a bad thing to have a kids show with a well-told story and well-written characters with growth/development in the midst of superheroes in spandex beating up rubber-suit monsters.

Weird as it sounds: I was much younger than my two brothers and it always seemed like they were busy with sports & other activities. also I was always too small to be apart of what ever they were doing. So playing and watching TV alone was really common for me from 3-10 years old I would say. But a massive piece of that for me was Power Rangers. The teenaged role models were perfect. I remember having karate videos they made with JDF and enjoying that so much because I never got to take martial arts classes as a kid. The positive nature was everything for us kids back then.

The one thing I retroactively dislike about Power Rangers is how the original series promised us "teenagers with attitude", but gave us wholesome role models to look up to. It took the franchise almost a quarter of a century to deliver on the promise of "teenagers with attitude" (I'm referring to Power Rangers 2017, where the "teenagers with attitude" are actual juvenile delinquents, with at least one having a confirmed criminal background and one who committed what may have been a federal crime/offense). Also, I didn't know about Super Sentai for years, so when I discovered it, I looked at it as basically bootleg Power Rangers. I still say that as a self joke.

I don't think the impact was huge on myself Jake. Mostly it gave me a better appreciation for the genre of television shows. For example the really cheesy, corny, and cheap though still rather good knock off television show Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills which was running at roughly the same time is one of my other favorites. Despite it's drawbacks it also has a devoted fanbase. Also although the original three seasons of the MMRP series will remain my absolute favorite I have been catching up on watching the later series in the franchise, and will always be a Power Rangers fan.

The "too violent" argument seems to be still going on today. And those same parents are still able to buy their children video games with an 18+ certificate on it

The rangers are the second franchise I became a fan of in 1993 with day of the dumpster Batman was the first franchise I became a fan of back in 1989 during the hype for Michael Keaton’s first Batman movie where I found Adam west in syndication and fell in love with the series and the movie then when Batman returns was released it was the first Batman movie I saw in theaters then a year later I found the rangers and have loved both ever since but u did for get to mention that Stan lee from marvel was the first person to try to adapt super sentai in America with the sun Vulcan season he tried cause he had worked with the series in Japan where he let them incorporate marvel characters into the series like one female ranger having a mrs marvel wig on her helmet and letting them turn spider-man into a ranger with the zord called the marveler for example and he created a sizzle reel of footage to shop around to studios but they all passed on him while the details of how Stan was going to adapt the show isn’t publicly known but the rest is and and English speaking version of sun Vulcan has appeared on KZbin but it’s not known if it’s from a dub or from Stan’s sizzle reel this is also why I think older seasons never got adapted in any form cause marvel still may have some ownership in those seasons and i actually won tickets to the first ranger movies during a fox kids contest I still think it’s not viewed as highly as some may think even though it did have its impact cause it’s still seen as a kids franchise despite it having us legacy fan like me day of the dumpster

Funny is that the Yellow Ranger was originally a black woman named Audri Dubois. Either Walter Jones was originally cast as he Red Ranger, he choose 2 be Black Ranger, as he found that character (this comes from himself). Diversity (well the forced kind) and inclusivity wasn't on the mind when creating the show, it was what the fans later injected in it. How the original cast was, was complete happenstance, how the show should be, it makes them more like characers and what kept show being pretty good in overal. A TV guide here did a short review for the Always a Ranger special, the review spread racist and sexist myths (even ones that has been debunked, but the writer pretend it is true) aboot the show, even mischaracterized the paycheck ordeal what happened. It was clearl written b someone who hated he show. The writer either omited the passing of Thuy Trang and Jason David Frank.

Power Rangers helped me discover that I could become a leader and pushed me to be more outspoken and not being so quiet or backdown so easily. Not to mention it got me into martial arts….love the rangers and been a fan since the beginning

Before Power Rangers the prospect of an Asian Superhero was unheard of being an Asian myself, which was a Mega Deal to me as much like every one else I would not love representation and of course in my case it's Asian representation. And even to this day the only Asian other two Asian Superhero that I only heard of is of course Shan Chi and the Chinese Flash to which I know next to nothing about the Chinese Flash. When it comes to Live Action at least and I think the only Animation Asian Superhero that I know of is the one from Captain Planet I don't remember her name at the moment. Anyways Power Rangers has also taught me that you could be friends with others that don't seem to be in the same Social Circle as you or even Cultural Circle as you. And if it wasn't for Power Rangers I probably wouldn't have eventually accepted those that are with in the LGBTQ Community, to which little did know I'm part of it but not in the way you might think, which I only found out just last year but in reality I was part of that particular community I've always have. And I supposed that Power Rangers sort of helped prepare me for Sailor Moon as with out those two shows I wouldn't be obsessed with Female Empowerment as I am today, and not just Female Empowerment but also Team Work. As I always thought that Team work was Dumb and for Babies back in Elementary School. In addition to the Philosophy of Good can win over Evil doesn't just exist in fantasy. And the last thing that I think that the last thing that Power Rangers had taught me is that Bullies could be conquered, and not just bullies either but also you could accomplish any goal you come across. And I guess it's because of all of those reasons that was and in some ways still am so obsessed with Power Rangers.

Power Rangers and TMNT were my inspiration to start martial arts at 7, allowing me to achieve my first black belt at 11. Very special place in my heart.
