Okay but that’s why in the video he specifically says he isn’t trying to measure her strength and durability against resurrected Superman. He was obviously powered up, and they weren’t trying to fight him. The only reason she couldn’t take him down was because 1) when she lassoes him and he catches it, the concrete that she’s using to hold herself breaks, and 2) when she tries to use her bracelets of submission (the “boosh”, as Gal Gadot calls it) Superman stops her. If she had been able to successfully use it, she could have probably beat him or at the very least gained an advantage over him.

That is correct. She could have done it. But I don't think that was the point of the scene. The monster being kryptonian and also considering how the world didn't like Superman very much at that time, I believe Superman had to be the one to do it so he can show the world he's not their enemy.

@@refulgent_fanta that's a good point! But the producers should stop making Superman appear like he's the only one who can save the day every time. It happened with Justice League too, they had to make him resurrect in order to fight Steppenwolf. Then zack Snyder confirmed that in his cut of the movie, Wonder Woman was the one who killed Steppenwolf with some help from the other members. That said, I thank Snyder 'cause Wonder Woman was basically the best thing in BvS, she was a badass and super powerful anyway.

They're equally strong but in a different way. Superman is slightly stronger in raw strength but WW is a trained warrior (trained for thousands years) and manages her powers a lot better, she doesn't just destroy things and punches, she uses actual techniques. Superman is faster in raw speed and long-range speed but WW is faster in close combat speed. Superman has bullet immunity, almost nothing can cut his skin, while WW is technically weak against piercing weapons BUT she still manages to deflect any bullet with her wonder-speed and bracelets, plus she has NO KRYPTONITE and her powers don't depend on yellow stars. She's WONDER WOMAN on every planet as her powers are god-sourced. She could fight actual alien enemies in their respective planets, while Superman couldn't on most of them. As I said they're equally strong, they're just differently balanced.

Let's say for sake of argument that Cyborg is considered "powered" since the mechanical enhancements are a part of his mind & body... which leaves only Batman as the 1 of 6 with zero super powers. Also for the sake of this convo, I will ignore the existence of kryptonite because if it comes into play we all know supes is toast and literally anyone with it can injure him. Firstly, there is a reason superman stopped Wonder Woman from using her bracelets of submission; those bracelets levelled Aries, a god. She also uses these bracelets against doomsday as well. If she had used those against supes the fight would have moved in a very different direction. Secondly, despite not using the bracelets Wonder Woman was still capable of bothering superman with her headbutt. It’s obvious she cause him discomfort. Although looking at the scene she seems more bothered by his headbutt than he his hers. But the evidence is there, she can give physical blows to superman that do actually bother him. Thirdly, the films portray Wonder Woman with very high power levels. This is demonstrated with her fights against Aries and doomsday, it is obvious she is exceedingly strong and you should watch them again because you seem to have forgotten. Against doomsday she uses her sword to cut doomsday’s leg. Doomsday is equal to superman invulnerability or even greater which is why in the DCEU and comics superman dies trying to defeat him. Regardless of Doomsday invulnerability her sword is the sword of Athena, a gift from her mother and is magically empowered. Both superman and doomsday are kryptonian and kyptonians are notoriously weak against magic which is why it is able to inflict damage. If wonder woman’s sword can cut doomsday it can also cut superman, ergo ww can injure superman. This is supported in both the DCEU and Comics. It is also worth pointing out that her fight against superman is very obviously her just trying to subdue a friend. So when she says she doesn’t want to hurt him, she means it because she sure as hell is capable of it.

Thers’s a part in there where Superman picks up Diana’s sword and accidentally cuts himself by merely touching it. It can separate the atoms of anything. Light-sabers are energy based and therefore can be deflected by energy. Her sword can kill GODs. The light saber cannot.

I think WW should have more distinguishing feats and powers so I’m glad in 1984 they gave her invisibility magic. Tbh that’s really the best thing to come out of that movie though and she still needs more imo to solidify her as the divine warrior archetype since rn she only has her Amazonian training and basic physical super powers. Pretty accurate! In the comics, Wonder Woman has said more than once that she could take down Superman, and she has fought both Super Girl and Power Girl, neither of which is a slouch in the power department, to a standstill, holding back because she did not want to hurt them. In the movies, including the animated ones, she is often powered down so as not to challenge Supes in the power department, which is a shame, really, as DC doesn't always present Supes as the absolute strongest, except when it comes to her.

She was holding her own against Doomsday who is arguably just as strong or stronger than Superman, so it doesn't make sense. Not only that, but she's a warrior. Even with Superman's superior strength, she should've been able to break free from his grip, and she should've been able to see him coming as she's not a slow poke. Key Issues, I respectfully disagree with some of your statements about wonder woman: 1. While I do agree that during Batman vs Superman dawn of justice, wonder woman's strength is comparable to Superman's and wonder woman was clearly the better fighter, I do believe Superman was more powerful than Wonder Woman during this time, as was doomsday, who was more powerful than either of them. 2. You make a good point about Wonder Woman being able to destroy a weakened Ares, when Zeus couldn't do the same thing to Ares at his prime, but it still isn't a fair comparison to compare the power of wonder woman to the power of Zeus because while Zeus couldn't destroy Ares at his prime, he still defeated Ares at his prime, something wonder woman hasn't done nor do we know she if she's capable of doing. 3. Superman wasn't scared of wonder woman using her bracelets, since his memories were not fully restored at that point. It seemed more like he was battling instinctively, but that's my opinion. Plus the bracelets earlier barely staggered Steppenwolf, a being too strong for wonder woman but not strong enough for the resurrected Superman who easily defeated wonder woman and the rest of the justice league beforehand. That's just how I see it. I believe that Wonder Woman is the 2nd most powerful superhero in the DCEU, above Shazam but below Superman.

Wonder Woman has always been one if the top DC characters. She's durable, fast, skilled, and strong. She doesn't have anywhere near Superman's strength or invulnerability, but her fighting skills, combined with her magic weapons, let her go toe-to-toe with him for at least a little while. In the DCEU, Superman is obviously vastly stronger. He easily carried an apartment building to safety and towed a freighter through ice. When the team was struggling with Steppenwolf, Superman tossed him around easily, being too fast for Steppenwolf to hit and too strong for Steppenwolf to resist. So Supes is still on top by a good margin, but WW is still one of comic's most powerful. Her powers, combined with her knowledge and skills, puts her in the top.

Other than that strange aura thing, I think this was pretty accurate. That aura was, IMO, a special one time thing, perhaps a sheath to protect her while gaining her 'godhood.' or something. I have always liked Wonder Woman, but I believe her movie made her much cooler than she ever was in comics or prior TV form. A lot of this is due to Gal Gadot's beauty, grace, athleticism and charisma, as well as the visuals of that film.

The movies did not reflect the canon true powers of Wonder Woman. Thus, the comics show that Superman and Wonder Woman have beaten each other several times, 1 on 1, whilst both were not holding back. Also, Wonder Woman releases her OP mode when she removes her bracelets. So it is plausible that Superman was only in the thousands of tons against Doomsday. She used her speed and weapons to get some hits on the monster. Superman showed much more raw strength lifting Doomsday into space. She wasn't poisoned by Kryptonite or battered by Batman in an uber powerful suit. If Superman and Diana are at Quintillion tons then so is Aquaman and Steppenwolf as Diana needed Aquamans help pulling Steppenwolf down. Cyborg was weaker only Trillions of tons lol. You see how silly the Tectonic plate thing is. If you throw it out you get this much more reasonable scaling. Superman 20-25000 tons. Consistent with all his feats. He was probably only a tenth this strong at the oil rig but has grown more powerful. Steppenwolf 6500-7500 tons definitely the second strongest character based on the fight.Was nowhere near Supes though. Wonderwoman 5500-6000 tons her strength had to be combined with Arthur to pull Steppenwolf down. Was faster than a battered poisoned Superman against Doomsday but Superman showed his far superior speed in Man of Steel. She was more a striker against Doomsday whilst Superman could actually bodily wrestle the creature. Ares 3000-3500 tons enormously powerful but no match for the God Killer Aquaman 2250-2500 tons So strong that he could help pull Steppenwolf down and raise a Sub.The 60 ton comic version would have been relegated to parademons. Cyborg 1000 tons. Shows enormous strength but is harmed by Steppenwolf unlike the most powerful JL members. Flash. 10-15 tons. Like Quicksilver he needs super strength to endure the speed and went through tough parademons like nothing. Ludendorff 10-12 tons basically on really powerful steroids. Affleck Batman. 0.6 tons A real brute at Weightlifting 1200 lbs raw deadlift is probably about right. Strongest movie Batman.
