See here is the thing you can't weigh Wonder women or Superman's strength they're both characters who are stong as the writers need them to be. Both characters will be weak when they need someone to beat them to set up a new or continue a story arc and both will be as OP as needed to complete or continue a story arc. Wonder women and Superman's power is limitless and limited, because the writers want it to be so.

I like Wolverine more than Wonder Woman but there's no way Wolverine could beat her. I think people should just leave personal preference aside while debating who would win. WW is power is parallel to Superman, Shazam, MM as far as I'm concerned. I'm so tired of this argument about WW isn't as strong as Supes. WW strength and raw power is normally determined by the story line and how they want the character portrayed next to her male counterparts. And last time I checked, once supes in the story, every other major character's power levels becomes relative. Also keep in mind WW is a demi-god and that covers characters such as Hercules, which is off the chain in his own power levels. She normally holds back in her fights because she is a a trained fighter. Plus her gauntlets acts as a restraints to keep her power in check against her opponents. So if she moved the earth, the sun, pulled MM from a black-hole and took down superman in a head a to head with her guantlets on, imagine if they come off. I'm glad this video is out there so people can see just how strong and powerful WW really is.

It´s called imagination, it´s this little creative thing some humans do, comics much like fictional books create characters and stories that become canon, for creative imaginative people it´s more than entertainment in many ways that I can´t explain... but for example, when Wonder Woman was being filmed, this lady was hoping to have an advanced screening of the movie before she died of cancer, she had been a fan of this fictional character all her life because of what it represented to her and in a way this fictional character was giving her strength and something to hold on to in times of need, sadly she did die before watching the movie. Point is, much like religions, but without the delusional affirmations of these Gods and heroes being real, these superheroes have a lot of meaning to a lot of people who can be very passionate about them and there´s nothing wrong with that.

I love the scene in the justice league cartoon series where Wonder Woman, Batman and Green lantern, went back in time to the old west. Were attacked and shot at by bandits. WW is powerful. But often I don't like the power scaling depending on who the writer is. What I do like is that her level of martial skill allows her to even the playing field against more powerful opponents, such as that time she fought against both Zod and Faora who are not just Kryptonian, but also skilled fighters themselves. Black Canary and Bruce Wayne have always held WW's skills in the highest regard.

Wonder Woman #307 (written by Dan Mishkin and pencilled by Don Heck), Wonder Woman fought Niko Aegeus, a Greek terrorist who got hold of weapons of the gods including the daggers of Vulcan, which are invulnerable and were able to cut her magic lasso and shatter one of her bracelets so they're not unbreakable. According to Lex and Batman's estimate, Wonder Woman with a sword wouldn't have lasted more than 10 minutes against Doomsday. Then Superman killed the creature with his bare hands. As for the Lasso, It has been snapped on several occasions, notably by Bizarro Superman in "Batman/Superman/WonderWoman : Trinity" and by Rama Khan" in "Golden Perfect" Superman learned 2 Kryptonian martial arts Torquasm vo and Torquasm Rao Also, Superman bench pressed planets easily, lifting 2/3 of Earth isn't that impressive. It broke to smithereens when she drove it into Superman's arm in Injustice.

In injustice year 4 (I could be wrong) the Greek gods intervened and Wonder Woman was forced to fight Superman to the death. Wonder Woman was winning and was about to deliver the final blow but the Sinestro Corps intervened and saved Superman's life. The explanation to Wonder Woman winning was that she was a trained warrior since birth and out skilled superman in every way until he couldn't take any more punishment. So my question is how could Wonder Woman defeat Superman but Goku couldn't? Goku is considered the greatest martial artist of all time making him a much better fighter than Superman. So why wouldn't he be able to beat Superman to.

The difference between Wonder Woman vs Superman and Goku vs Superman is much more than just skill. Goku and Diana are both similar in skill level, to the point where Superman cannot keep up in hand to hand battle. But the reason why WW can fight on Supermans level and Goku can't is because of the physicals. Goku is more skilled, but physically he is soo much below Superman that those skills don't matter because Superman is stronger and faster. Wonder Woman is slightly weaker than Superman, but her strength is almost at his level, and she fights faster than him which means her skills have a massive impact.

It became a political statement when a well know cinema chain [Alamo Drafthouse] used the movie as a 'tool' to justify a “women only" screening of the movie, and their argument for doing this was, 'to celebrate a character who’s meant a great deal to women for close to eight decades'. Like wtf!? when has there ever been a male only screening for the various Superman, and Thor movies? [..Never]. I thought movies and movie screenings were meant to bring people together to enjoy themselves, rather than divide them based on their gender. #PoliticalAgenda

"why can't a woman star in a movie without it having some feminist agenda." that's a good question! the answer, i think, is that other people keep attaching an agenda to the movie. and i'm not talking about the movie makers or the theater chain that's doing the ONE screening, i'm talking about all the people that have made such belly-aching about it. it's not the movie makers' agenda, the movie is just a movie. until the theater chain announced this, no one thought otherwise, yourself included. so if you really HAVE to be mad at someone, be mad at the theater chain and go see the movie at a different cinema. but really, why be mad at all? they didn't, as you said, "use the movie as a 'tool' to justify a 'women only' screening of the movie," in order to "celebrate a character who’s meant a great deal to women." that doesn't make any sense! you've switched up their motivation with their action: the chicken didn't get to the other side because it wanted to cross the road, it crossed the road in order to get to the other side of that road (presumably because there was something it wanted or somewhere it needed to be). the way you said it, that they WANTED to have a womens' screening so they finally found a good excuse to have one because this movie came along and gave them that chance, makes it sound like these theater execs have been waiting and waiting to stick it to all the men out there. they did NOT say "what better reason to have an all-female screening than to celebrate a female paragon?" pulled directly from their statement on the link you posted above, "what better way to celebrate than with an all-female screening?" i.e. they WANTED to celebrate the character, SO they chose to have the special screening moving on, while there's a boatload of superheroes that epitomize the male ideal, (indeed, there are many different male ideals) wonder woman is not A female ideal, she's the ONLY female paragon in the DC universe. there IS inequality in the lack of male-only screenings for any male-starring superhero movies but there is also lack of incongruity between what spiderman/thor mean to men and what wonder woman means to women. The movie is not a political statement. Alamo Drafthouse's announcement did not, as you say, make it a political statement. it is simply a celebration of a character special, not just in her being but, in what she represents to a demographic that happens to make up an equal half of this world but is often times not truly equal. Movies ARE supposed to bring people together, in this case, women. that doesnt mean men are being left in the dark because we're already in the light, we always are. superhero movies with male protagonists come out multiple times per annum. if you have an alamo drafthouse theater in your city, and you cant find it in your heart to see past them excluding you this one time on this one day, i encourage you to see the movie at a different theater chain. if they're the only chain in town, i guess you'll have to either suck it up, wait for it to come out on disk or, lord forbid, find it online but i would never encourage anyone to break the law. it sounds like you were initially inclined to see it, so i hope you wont let one theater exec stop you and i hope it's as good as it should be

How can it be the desire of a cooperate entity such as Alamo Drafthouse to simply host a woman only screening of what is supposed to be an iconic movie/character? Well, the justification is in the context, “to celebrate a character who meant a great deal to women.” How did they come to this conclusion - that the character meant a ‘great deal’ to women? Ans: by generalizing Why did they feel the need to perform a feat that has never been done before with other DC movies? Ans: to make a statement rather than to celebrate the character. Are they actually celebrating the character? Ans: No. There are so many inspiring female characters in the DC universe that women can draw inspiration from [relatively speaking], and many do, which is why I do not believe that Wonder woman is the “only female paragon” as there are many CHARACTERS that epitomes excellence in the DC universe. Furthermore, it is not by coincidence that they chose a character that portrays “strength and vigour” to celebrate on. As it is a commonly held belief that one of the main cornerstones of feminism is to displace the marginalising stereotypes of a woman. This why I said, they have a have a feminist agenda in mind. This is so saddening because it won’t take long for something like this to happen again, with the same agenda - to marginalise. They are not just celebrating the character, they are celebrating women. Which is not a bad thing, but I don’t want to remember a movie for being a tool, I want to remember the movie for what it is…A MOVIE. Politics is written all over this predicament, rather activism, as this is of an activistic nature. Gender is an insignificant variable in celebrating excellence, especially when generalised. I believe that what Alamo Drafthouse did was highly offensive and inconsiderate to movie lover’s like myself, who have been inspired by the Wonder Woman character for so long. Such an act just takes away from the value of the film, which is why I won’t be watching it.
