@@bernieudo9072 @myenchantedlife5262 exactly. Democrats in PA took away the Amish ability to privately sell raw milk to each other within their community and arrested the main guy who does it. Incredibly dumb. That angered the Amish, and the Republicans pulled a Democrat move by helping all of those people vote in Lancaster County.

Jesus Louise! I never comment on social media, but I just can't take it anymore. None of the congress critters or "experts" in this spot get it, because it is not just one issue. It's not ONE thing the Democrats can fix. Do you want to know why you lost? Okay, I'll break this down for you. 1) The economy: Rightly or wrongly, the current administration does take the credit or blame for the state of the economy. While the economy is a complex system that results from literally millions of decisions being made by businesses and consumers everyday, the Biden-Harris administration made one major misstep - to LIE to the American people about the economy and tell them that what they were feeling wasn't happening. You can debate the individual affects of their spending policies and how their response to Covid or Covid itself caused shifts in supply and demand, screwing things up. It really doesn't matter. As the old adage goes, "don't wee on my leg and tell me it's raining" and that's exactly what they did. 2) On crime, second verse same as the first. Don't lie to people and tell them crime is down. They know better and can feel and see things in the communities where they live. And communities are NOT safer when you legalize drugs and shoplifting and demoralize the police. DUH! Nearly everyone can agree on that. 3) Immigration - let's see - more lying again. "It's not that bad" - riiiiiiiiight. "We weren't responsible" - riiiiiiight. People aren't stupid. Again, understanding there is complexity here, but reversing a lot of the Trump 1 policies just because you hated him was foolish and has cost a lot of lives and heartache on BOTH sides of the border. But yes, let's keep not taking responsibility until right before the election. So, NOW the wall is suddenly a good idea and Democrats of all stripes are now partially or entirely reversing their stance. Do you think that makes you look flexible? Nope. It makes you look like a liar and an opportunist. 4) Trump himself: I will be honest. I hated Trump in 2016. I voted with the Democrats in every single election of my lifetime except this year. "Character matters", they say. Oh, reallllly? I'd love for the 90s Democrats who supported Bill Clinton and Hillary to make the affirmative case for them (I even include myself here). Go ahead. I'll wait. Trump does have his flaws and some of them are really bad. I constantly get irritated at him and the opportunities he misses to take the high road. But, not only has his campaign been markedly more disciplined this year, he also got A LOT of points with people for the obvious persecutions he's been under this election season. I mean JESUS! The lawsuits and cases, the CONSTANT lying about what he says, and the insane rhetoric that has "mysteriously" disappeared now that they got their behinds handed to them are evidence enough that this was a concerted effort to demonize him. Nobody likes a bully. I'm talking to you, Schumer and Pelosi. 5) January 6th: I am a center left convert who now sits on the center right, so I agree January 6th was a very bad event. I haven't heard all of the evidence here, but the point that I think carries the most weight with people who voted for him is that his participation in this wasn't malicious. It was misguided and ignorant of laws, rules, and protocol. I'm not excusing it, but there is a world of difference between being used to getting your way and trying to "wheel and deal" your way out of a loss and leading an actual insurrection against the government. 6) Culture wars: This is the least understood area by Democrats who see themselves as saints, virtuous, and simply "cannot understand" how people would vote against them on these issues. "What's the big deal?" I keep hearing. Well, the BIG DEAL is that it started with innocent enough bedrock principles of live and let live and ended with allowing CHILDREN to make life altering decisions not just without guidance, but WITH the advocacy of the "state". My GOD! Do you people not understand how a lot of parents see this? We see this as the usurpation of parental rights. I ask you, what is more personal than that? Talk to the parents in California. Also, people are SICK TO DEATH of being told to shut up and sit down and that they are racist, xenophobic, bigoted and all the rest when they have a genuine and reasonable concern about things that are extremely...well...concerning. Don't mess with mothers and their children. You will LOSE EVERY SINGLE TIME. 7) Kamala herself. She was NOT a good candidate, no matter how you slice it. She could not answer a single question without clinging to platitudinous nonsense instead of just saying something, anything real. People have a great detection system for dishonesty and BS. Further, if virtually NOBODY can make an affirmative case for you and your whole campaign slogan is basically "I'm not Trump", well, you might be in trouble. AND NO, it wasn't because she was a woman or a woman of color. FOR CHRIST's sake. There were SEVERAL women in the Democratic party who met that profile who were FAR better, smarter, more polished than was she. But, please, keep saying that. We'll see how it goes for you in the midterms. People are sick of being divided and cut off from their family, friends, and neighbors because you (Democrats) want to bow down at the alter of virtue signaling. 8) Democracy and free speech: People have had absolutely enough of the Democrats constantly accusing the right of doing what they themselves are doing. Both sides gerrymander. Both sides cheat. BUT, only the Democrats tried to pull Trump off the ballot. I'm not going to say Trump was blameless in this regard, because I don't believe it, but for SURE the Democrats have plenty of their own blame. Again, for the 100th time, DON'T LIE. 9) Foreign policy: We are most assuredly staring down the barrel of a war. Who actually trusts the Democrats to adjudicate foreign policy in such a way that the geopolitical mess the world is in doesn't get worse? Clearly almost nobody. I mean, I could obviously go on and on, but do you get the picture 60 Minutes? The coalition of voters that elected Trump weren't just MAGA voters. They were classic Republicans, lots and lots of disaffected Democrats who could not bring themselves to vote for Kamala, people of color who are sick of progressive liberal pandering and patronizing, and the hardworking, good-hearted everyday American citizen who voted based on a single issue. Bottom line: The American people could not bring themselves to vote for 4 more years of unchecked leftist nonsense, so they didn't. You didn't moderate. You not only didn't listen to your constituents who had valid concerns, but worse, you berated them. You doubled-down on crazy and you ignored and lambasted every person in your own party who told you this was coming. Whew! I feel better now.

I actually read all this and it's pretty much 100 percent. Trump really dialed back his douchebaggery this time around. It at least appears he's learned a lot and matured. He was more or less content with shutting up and letting kamala Harris trip over herself. The 2020 election was an anomaly. You can't vote by mail. 81 million people didn't vote for Joe biden. Any objective person can see that but democrats and the machine behind stand for only one thing...winning elections at any cost. Not saying trump would've won...I don't care...but that was a very suspect election.

But he wants to taxes on goods that is coming from other countries and big corporations. You don't think that these other countries and corporations are going to sell their products higher to the consumer. Yes they are. The same for social security. Trump says no more taxes on social security benefits but he is taking away 33% from the people who retire. And same goes for the disability. Your taxes will also go even higher 1- immigrants going to cost American people 88 million that is just one year. 2- building that ridiculous wall that people can climb and that wall is very expensive. Instead of building a wall why don't Trump hire more people to patrol the area. When Trump was in office he fired a lot of patrol police. Trump thinks that by building a wall you don't need anyone to patrol it. And that is not true.

@@stage51manager 60 Minutes is the program which reported the fake George Bush National Guard AWOL story during the 2004 presidential campaign. That was proven to be a hoax within days of its airing by people who noticed that the letter that was supposedly typed in the 1960s was typed with a type font that didn't exist then. Reporter (and nightly news anchor) Dan Rather and his producer got fired over that fake story. Also, during the 2020 campaign, 60 Minutes reporter Leslie Stahl interviewed Trump, and he mentioned the Hunter Biden laptop story. Stahl laughed at Trump and told him that her program wouldn't allow him to talk about a story that they hadn't verified to be true. And then the story soon turned out to be true. The reason Trump did not do a 60 Minutes interview during this past campaign is because neither CBS or Leslie Stahl ever apologized to him or admitted that they were wrong. So maybe you can determine 60 Minutes' credibility by things like that.

I’m on the other side of the vote but this was really well said and respectful on your part. I think another thing people on the left underestimated is just how fed up the right is with the trans stuff. It’s nothing against adults who want to do whatever they want to do. But making sexual orientation a public identity that needs to be shared with everyone, indoctrinating children with it, creating laws that make it harder for parents to know what their children are doing in regards to trans identities and allowing men to participate in women’s sports is too much. I think the silent majority has been silent for so long because if they spoke up they’d get attacked. That combined with inflation, discouraging critical thinking with Covid vaccines, defund the police, calling Trump Hitler , his voters stupid, taking him to court, etc from what I’ve heard from conservatives are the biggest issues. Trump has his flaws for sure. Most conservatives would agree with that, but there are a lot of trends the average person doesn’t like in regards to ‘woke’ To be honest I wasn’t in support of Trump after the Jan 7th thing, but I felt like in 2024, there wasn’t much of another choice.

Understand, many of these people were angry BEFORE the inflation spike (yes, because of covid). They supported a guy who attempted a coup d' etat right here in the US BEFORE the inflationary spike. They buy/drive gas guzzling trucks while complaining about the price of gas so gas prices can't be a big deal to them. Wages are up, unemployment is down, the stock market hit all-time highs, spending on infrastructure was passed (something Trump tried and failed to do), semi-conductors will be made here again (a strategic imperative), we avoided a recession and so much more. The economy didn't really matter. If Trump had done what Biden has done, these people would be calling him the best Pres since FDR. This was all anger and culture and the belief that Trump was using words they always wanted to use.

The "legacy media" just discovered during this campaign that they no longer have the influence that they've had for the last 70 years since TV broadcasting has existed, or even the 45 years since cable TV news networks came about. Internet media such as Joe Rogan have far more influence on the public. CNN's Brian Stelter lamented just a couple of weeks ago that all of their anti-Trump propaganda over the last eight years has all been for naught. A coupla years ago, conservative KZbinr Mark Dice joked that he got more viewers than CNN does, and Mark does it from his laptop at his kitchen table.

United States has large bodies of water except for Alaska and Canada. It is true Putin with the size of Russia could go onto another country after he beat Ukraine. We need somebody in the United States to have a backbone to stand up to him and make him realize that he has to pay consequences for this mess he created over there. Biden just handed him money never had a strength in his voice to stand up to him. Uh, no. Delta price over delta time is inflation. dx/dt where x is price and t is time on a x/y 2D graph. A rate of change is the derivative of the slope - that would be the increase in inflation or decrease. Perhaps you meant to say that. Inflation is a rate like 3 mph, or $3 more per annum. Rate of change would be akin to acceleration/deceleration.

This is the most bizarre thing to me. People reference inflation, the price of groceries, the price of homes, so on and so forth. So, they get two economic policies in front of them. Less inflation and more inflation. Everyone knows the Harris policy was less deficit spending, lower inflation lower yields on bonds. Trump is basically pump assets, likely hiring inflation, likely higher stock prices, likely higher real estate prices. What do the people complaining about inflation vote for? That's right pump assets 😂
