The more gas particles there are, the higher the pressure. As the number of particles increases, the frequency of collisions increases. This increases the chance of successful collisions, therefore increasing the rate of reaction. The rate of reaction always slows down as the reaction progresses. This is due to the reacting particles getting used up, decreasing the frequency of collisions, decreasing the chance of successful collisions as the reaction continues.
